My favourite part of the press conference was when they asked if he would bring up the 5 subs next managers meeting.
It felt like he was saying fxck them, they never wanted it when I suggested it because it was seen as an advantage, now they are blowing out of their arses they can fxck off.

It's a good spot that actually, he does tend to be more brash and snipey when things are either really good or bad.

At the halfway point, City are on course to accumulate 94 points, 100 goals scored and 24 conceded, which are all improvements from the previous season. Having added just one player, all aspects have improved. Stunning performance from Guardiola and the City players. They all worked to remove the disappointments of the final, and the in-game transition between all-out attack and stifling control seems as easy as flicking a switch. The manager and the players make it look effortless. The intensity drops occasionally and very infrequently, and I am waiting for a loss against, say, Brighton.

Foden has established himself, Sterling and De Bruyne are making a comeback, and Bernardo are the best in the league. Guardiola pointedly doesn't take credit for individual player improvements, but they are also given multiple chances to come back into the fold. Bernardo has made the best of his. Sterling and De Bruyne are doing it now. I am sure Foden will take his chances again. Stunning first half.
