Anyone know where this obsession with keeping the ball came from?
It will be the 31 major trophies it has given him and the clubs he has managed probably.

Totally agree .
31 major trophies and 11 with us. The Greatest manager we've ever had or are likely to have.
Once again KDB was man marked, this time by Fred. Everywhere KDB went, Fred followed him. That was Fred’s only role in the game, bar the odd tackle here and there. I think Brentford started it when they won 1-2 at the Etihad. Everton did the same thing. Managers have cottoned. Stop KDB and that stop the balls coming into Haaland from the sides.
As for Haaland. He’s being man marked by both centre halfs. ATM he’s too static. Walking and paving around upfront on his own, and getting frustrated. But when he does get free, makes the space, runs forward, the balls aren’t being played forward and through to him. Instead the balls and passes keep on going side ways and backward. (Pep’s keep ball and control the play tactics)
Kdb assisted our goal
We and he havent always played like this. Our play has dramatically slowed down over this season and the lastIt will be the 31 major trophies it has given him and the clubs he has managed probably.

That's exactly how I saw the game. I thought we was bang average first half then came out second half a different team and it was inevitable we would go in the lead. We was totally in control of that game until that ridiculous goal and United had run out of ideas.i didn't watch the match because i was working, and have no intention of rewatching it, i've seen the goals though, now according to what i've read after a cagey first half we dominated the second half, thats what ive read/watched, i've also read that the first goal changed the game completely , now if that is true what has pep got wrong , we dominated the 2nd half ,got the goal at a very tough place to go in front of a manic 75000 fans and looked set to win the game(again not my opinion), we aren't going to get many chances in big games against a team on form and contrary to city's fans thought on blue a half decent team .
before the world cup we were playing the same way and the big lad got 27 goals,i do think we are off it a little bit, but according to what i've read the 2nd half was like the dominant city we are used to, so again what did pep get wrong yesterday or did the players heads go after that first goal.
