I feel sorry for Pep now, this is really not good for his mental health. If we are sad and frustrated, the players feel worse. However, imagine how bad this is for Pep..

Fuck that. Managers go through this all the time, it’s part and parcel of their job and they know it.

It’s his job to sort this out and he’s not. He’s playing the same players week in, week out and playing a criminally high line despite it getting exposed every game.

It’s shit. And it stems from the manager.

That being said, the statistics has proven that the attempt for playing the new patterns are not working at the moment with the current form of players. Too high risk/reward ratio. I hope Pep will adapt, but maybe he would just prefer a long break now, since he might feel he need it. Changing system can be a slippery slope aswell... He knows...
Then he shouldnt of signed 2 year contract
He probably wouldn't if he had knew..

Feel sorry? He’s brought a lot of this on himself by refusing to adapt, tweak, change or whatever you want to call it. He’s watched two months of his team produce dire turgid football, it’s absolutely inexcusable.

His primary job is to get the team results, we’ve one win in 12 games.

I don't disagree with you. Just taking his perspective on it.

Drop 20 yards if you don't have you have the players for it, use the youth, go either a back 5, play someone off Haaland

Got no sympathy for him, he's had such an easy ride with world class players and he's excelled (not just us, his entire managerial career), this is the first true rot he's been under in perhaps his entire career and he's just playing the same slow players and slow tactics with a suicide high line

He's failing, and if he had a different name he'd already have been sacked 4 games ago

He's expecting it to "click"

The problem is, the players are shite and the plan of action is woeful

Serious question.

We are about to rebuild the squad with a massive outlay of cash.

Is he the right man to be in charge when we do that or is now the time to move on and buy the players the incoming manager would fancy?

He will know full well himself how ruthless top level football is.

It’s only him who can alleviate any ill feeling for himself or in the squad by getting the team performing and winning games. He’s not doing this at the moment. Infact it’s only getting worse and worse.

How wrong we were to expect him to find solutions to this as it’s abundantly clear he has none.

Love the man but he has to learn how to adapt to the situation.

He MUST learn to adapt! This lack of awareness of how things really are, or refusal to acknowledge that some tactical adjustments are required was what cost us the UCL against Chelsea, and I hate to say it but deep down we all know it almost cost us against Inter, Inzaghi perfectly adjusted to our style of play and drained the life out of our midfield, luckily Lukaku was upfront.

There's no shame in acknowledging the fact that you want to play a certain way but just can't do it as the players vital to THAT style of play are out injured or just can't deliver at that level anymore.
