Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

If we carry on drifting through this shit season with no sign of performances improving I think Pep might well leave at the end of this season. He's always said if I don't see the hunger in my players anymore I will say goodbye, and I'm certainly not seeing much hunger anymore. That was played like a community shield game today, fuck all desire on show

It's my fear that we bring in a new manager with Peps players and we're even worse than this year. History tells us that it's a huge risk and an almost impossible task in replacing a legendary manager.

He's not beyond criticism but Pep has absolutely earned the right and our accompanying patience to try to put this right and I'm sure he'll want to do that.

To put all the blame on him and pointing to his tactics as the reason is a bit much. I see this season as a collective failure of poor recruitment planning, injuries, player motivation and Pep's stubbornness

But he has my support because life after Pep won't be as rosy.
It won’t be but we are Man City and we carry on . We won two titles before pep and we will win more when he does go . If he stays then let’s hope his ego and stubbornness don’t carry on next season

To be fair Slot hasn't done badly.

Your first point is subjective, nobody knows
Second point, fair
Third, most of it
Fourth, possibly not but who knows

We’ll find out I suppose cos hes definitely earned the right. Here’s hoping but I fear this summer bollocks will fuck us up again. Everyone involved in the first team is desperate for a break.
No such thing as 'he's earned the right' this is football, Pep has said it himself results dictate whether he stays or goes, its a cutthroat business.

Question should be can he get this team to the highest level? Can he successfully rebuild the squad?

I hope the club answers this questions with the same swiftness and non-sentiment they dealt with Aguero and now KDB,

"It is was it is" - who said that again??

A strategy that requires the fullbacks to create width needs an effective midfield that can track back adequately. We don't have that when it's the uncs or quite a few of our options. Honestly, I repeatedly say it but just go for wing backs if you don't trust Savinho & Doku.

I have no doubt we will win things but I don't think we'll be anywhere near as dominant and consistent

Blinkered by his favourites if don't sell or get rid of at least 2 of them come next season pep will play that team today again

I think the split with his wife has really affected Pep, his eyes and body language give it away as he looks a troubled soul. I think the best thing for his mental health is to walk away and try and patch up his marriage and take a well earned break from football.

He's a proud man and I think the only reason for him to extend his contract was to try and blot out his private life but he needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and decide to do what's best for him. I don't think he has the focus and energy to take us forward next season tbh. I wish him well whatever he decides to do.

He’s being far too sentimental this season and it’s really clouding his judgement.

He was crying for a midfielder, got one in January, dropped him for some strange reason (Gonzalez has been excellent for my money), and gone back to picking a side that we know doesn’t work.

The decision to play those players needs taking out of his hands. KDB’s obviously out of the door at the end of the season, but another 2 out of Kovacic, Bernardo and Gundo also have to go.

Then he should be fired. It’s not good enough to keep using this as an excuse. Because you’re of course right.

Yes I agree mate, I said I have no problem with us not challenging for the title this season, but he's made things worse with everything he's done, game management, player management, rubbish tactics with a suicidal high line and slow boring ineffective Football, and playing his favourites who are nowhere near good enough anymore.
Oh and I forgot his criminal use of the bench.

He’s scared. Has no balls. The balls he spoke of that John stones has he lacks now
