Genuinely think he doesn't know how to get us out of this mess.

He has an ageing and injury hit team, attackers who cannot score or assist, his best player out for the season and tactically is all over the place because of it.

I trust him to the end, but he is on one big slippery slope at the moment and needs to find a way off it.

The news he has committed 2 more years may not be what the club or Pep actually need.
The game is always evolving and without great players in their prime his style has been sussed out.
Athletic bigger players just run straight through his aged slow midfield . We know it ,we can see it but he has a blind spot. Liverpool have done it for years and it caused us problems- the others have just caught on to this.
We need a new reset , some top quality players and a style to match the high energy athleticism of teams
Critics of Pep always pointed out he inherited top players who could adopt his tactics. Well the last 5 games indicate he cannot work with mediocre players.
Barcelona B was as good as his prime Barcelona by the way.

I wonder what your opinion was in 19/20, but with how stuoid your comment is, I can imagine

Got to go back to his principles. Play possession based football with players that can control the ball and keep possession for long periods. If that means sacrificing some holy cows and having long faces in the squad, then so be it.

He made a huge error in not playing Wright and/or Nunes in midfield in the Spurs cup and Sporting games, they were throwaway games which would have given us the chance to see if they have the ability to be starters for us in midfield.

Now we are left with Gundogan, who is so far past it you can barely believe, and there is no option to replace him because Pep isn't going to throw in an unproven player against Spurs/Liverpool/CL teams.

The only improvement i can see is Ake or Akanji replacing Walker in the back 4 but then we still have a midfield that cannot cover more than a 10 yard area so we will carry on conceding chances and goals.

This is on Pep too. He still has an abundance of talent to call upon but he's still playing a system that doesn't suit without certain players. And he's just straight up ignoring others.. Fucking Rico Lewis isn't going to play us out this rut but lads like Mcatee might. Bit of final third quality would be nice.

Also Walker is just shit without his pace to bail him out so Akanji at RB with Pusey bedded in would be preferable.
Least get something out of this season if it's going to be one of those drop well off transitioners we seen from others in the past. Rather than old players on the way out stinking the place up every game we should bed in young players who might have a future at the club. How many of our youth players are thriving at other clubs in this league currently?

Stop playing the 3 midgets together would be a good start.

Maybe any 2 of O Reilly, Nunes and Wright with one of them would be fine.

Walker, while I want him gone, had to play. Once our defenders are fit, I dont foresee a problem here. The defense needs a rebuild for sure.

But we dont have Rodri for basically the whole season, he doesnt HAVE to play those 3, he could play more physical players.

I love Pep and will defend him to the hilt, but not making a sub until 70 odd minutes today was frustrating as fuck. McAtee and O’Reilly wouldn’t have turned it around by any means, but they were fit and available. To give them no minutes when the game was obviously gone was inexplicable to me.
