Better to start and get a game win then go off than come on cold chasing a game. More likely to get injured that way at any level you play atThey just come back from injury we can not afford to start them and they get injured?! Because we still have 40+ games to go
You can have an injury and still play , it is then how you recover the next day , if they didnt recover well then they get just a few minutes next time , enough to keep them ticking over , if is not a hard concept shirleyBut not so bad they can’t come on? Didn’t look injured Weds.
Even if they aren’t carrying those injuries anymore, starting one game doesn’t mean they’re fit enough to start the immediate game after just three days later.
The lack of understanding this from our fans is simply daft.
We lost 0:4 at home from the worst Tottenham side in last 2 years.
It doesn’t work. Gundo only doesn’t work.
Not hard at all. If they hadn’t recovered they shouldn’t be on bench. If they’ve recovered enough to go on when we are chasing a game they can surely start it.You can have an injury and still play , it is then how you recover the next day , if they didnt recover well then they get just a few minutes next time , enough to keep them ticking over , if is not a hard concept shirley
Nonsense, if we had a full squad maybe. As it is we get what we can out of what’s available, and it was decided by professionals they were only fit enough to be subs. How could you or any of us possibly have the information to know better. Not hard at all. If they hadn’t recovered they shouldn’t be on bench. If you’re not fit you’re not fit. Professional or not. If you’re fit enough to go in to chase the game how are you not fit enough to start.Nonsense, if we had a full squad maybe. Isn't that the beauty of watching football. We don't need to know anything about recovery times or that xg bollox what ever it is. Just need to see City outscore the opposition. It really is that simple. You're asking for common sense and understanding in completely the wrong place pal. I'd say 75% of people on here have absolutely no idea how football actually works.
Did you not see our bench, we had to fill it with a not fully fit players. If they were fully fit they’d have started. This isn’t difficult to work out.If you’re not fit you’re not fit. Professional or not. If you’re fit enough to go in to chase the game how are you not fit enough to start.
Yet you decide on who should be starting or not without knowing anything about it . Explains a lot.Isn't that the beauty of watching football. So why put them on? Why not put Oreilly and McActee on if it’s just about fitness?Did you not see our bench, we had to fill it with a not fully fit players. If they were fully fit they’d have started. This isn’t difficult to work out.
No worse than the rest of the bollox posted on here. Honestly Grealish and Doku had 4 days to recover, didn't miss training, yet were only fit for a few minutes. Not having that. At times Pep's being economical with the truth. Did he think juventus was the more important game and it probably is to be fair?Yet you decide on who should be starting or not without knowing anything about it . Explains a lot.
Maybe because Grealish and Doku are far better players even not fully fit, when chasing a game. Or do you think Pep didn’t to win the game. This is fucking bonkers, seems like the bad run has brought match day thread madness out into other threads. So why put them on? Why not put Oreilly and McActee on if it’s just about fitness?
Thanks doctor, glad you can see players fitness with no experience or examination. NHS could do with more like you ,save a fortune. Yes Pep looks at the bigger picture, maybe explain why he’s one the best and most successful coaches, ever.No worse than the rest of the bollox posted on here. so we are willing to risk them to chase a game but not to try to win it from the start? Neither Doku or Jack looked like they were struggling against forest. In fact it was KDB who left the field early having dropped to his haunches. IF they’ve recovered enough aren’t fit to start then surely Pep has to do something different shape wise or tactically rather than stick Nunes on wing, apparently he’s a CM - personally I don’t rate him in either position. We have two CMs on bench who are young and surely have more legs than Gundo who. Is currently giving ball away so frequently they couldn’t really do worse. So fit or not fit that team selection cost us. As playing Nunes and Rico seems to keep doing. Feyenord 3-0 up at home they go into midfield and we fall apart. Pep keeps saying it’s on him to fina a solution. He found one against forest he put Grealish in CM. Bar that he’s tried not a lot and persists at times with same choices and expects different outcomes. I get that we are lacking quality personnel but let’s have it right if it’s just about not having fit players why until we are losing/chasing games what’s the point of having Oreilly wright on the squad list bench. They’re as involved as Moonchester. Rico needs a rest imho keeps getting hung out to dry.Maybe because Grealish and Doku are far better players even not fully fit, when chasing a game. So in short you beleive Pep did it on some whim and for no good reason at all. Strange opinion of a man that has been so successful over 15 years IMO. Because he doesn’t rate them and you know how things work round here.So why put them on? Why not put Oreilly and McActee on if it’s just about fitness?
