imo some nontactical things he could change to steady the ship/stop the freefall :

- reduce his negative emotional reactions on the bench during the game...players on the bench/pitch notice it & are even more afraid to do something wrong
- replace Lillo with a younger guy..Pep & Juanma are at least 20 years older than the oldest players & you can motivate players differently when you have the same vibe/"zeitgeist"
- reduce the time you speaking to the press
- stop overpraising the oppo
- in the nfl defense & offensive coach are sitting elsewhere to have a better overview during the game...perhaps we should apply this approach

I’ve always wondered what goes through the players minds when Pep is stood frantically waving his arms around and yabbering away at them like a maniac. Most just seem to look away rather than have eye contact with him.

Don’t think his methods & actions have done much harm over the years - have they?

That this needs saying after what we have achieved in the last 7 years is sad.

Pep might have made significant mistakes, like fielding a strong team in a nothing league cup game at Spurs where things have started to unravel, but he deserves patience and support. There's little doubt he can turn things around.

Fans who are too critical of him are dumb or miserable. They are free to embarrass themselves, though.

Pep needs the clubs backing financially and the supporters backing vocally, and he'll get it. What a few miserable cunts say on this forum is no barometer to judge our fanbase.

I just think if you're asking him to negotiate on wanting to win every game, including league cup games, then ultimately you don't get the domestic/classic treble in previous (and future?) seasons. It's a high risk, high reward strategy.

Edit: I know you're not calling him out on the weakened team stuff, but even those criticisms fall flat for me.

True. But I said a few miserable cunts on here is no barometer to judge our fanbase. I meant supporters. Supporters go to games, fans don't. And I stick by what I said.
True,I mean the worst offenders on here are those that live in the match day threads, don't think they go to games. Listening to fans at games, and you do get some miseries there too,but it is nothing like what you see written on Bluemoon.

I think I agree, and by that I don't go on match threads often anymore because I'd rather concentrate on the game rather than get pissed off by what flapping cunts write. We've always had miserable sods at games, fortunately I don't hear any in 110, most tend to be sat down in CB3 from my experience.

Of all the posters on here I bet those that go to games represent only 5-10% of our home attendance which is not a true reflection of our fanbase, like I said.

I agree with the general point. But it was unnecessary to risk players like Dias in such a game given our injury crisis. Winning a treble without Rodri would be heroic but quite unrealistic. Focus entirely on the league and the CL: that should be our strategy this season.

A decision which would probably find favour with many supporters.

Don't disagree, I just feel like what his wife must say about him to the kids: you won't change him!

How far are we falling?...
At the moment it's anybodies guess!

My bad, I meant Champs League, the other competitions, I think we may have a chance to win. Or we would have if we has been playing to our potential!

The new CL format is turning up some surprises, I'm just puzzling how Eufa are getting Real into the final given their slump in form.

Hacks me off no end that Red Dippers are top of both leagues. Aaaaggh!!

I've got a feeling he is going to walk, a couple more defeats on this bad run and it wouldn't surprise me if he jacked it in, his great team talks are all well and good for the players when we are winning everything, but I can't see the dressing room being 100% behind him when nothing is working

Why can’t you see the dressing room being behind him? If there is one manager on this planet who players will back and follow, it’s pep. Also, you don’t sign a two year extension and walk out on it 3 weeks later, that’s just not pep.
