I mention one exception to the rule in almost a decade and he thinks it negates my point, and the rule has been worse than ever this year.
Wise up, fella, if he couldn't make substitutions he wouldn't be statistically the best manager ever.

Nope, he didn't need to make subs for most of his career because games would be over already.

So how many new midfielders has he brought in past signing the contract extension?

Did we magically get rid of 35 year old Gundo, 34 year old KDB, 33 year old Bernardo, and braindead Kova that we can now magically judge him on results again with a completely new midfield??

BTW the stream I was watching.. had a commentator say something like.. "Pep has to assemble another title winning squad.. good thing for City fans is he knows what one looks like!"

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.. but yep.. that's the gist of it.

Didnt realise those were his only options ...

he has more than that to offer and hasnt ...

Yeah, I quite like the guy who's won us everything under the sun over and over again.

What's your excuse for disliking him, apart from being a thick c***?
Differece between liking him and defending him about everything, he's the best manager of all time for me but this season he's been absolute gash, the fact that you're defending him about his subs says it all about you.

He is the only man to get us out of this rut. I just hope he sees that himself. He will persist until we get that top 4/5 place.
However, if he thinks that it is far too much of a challenge into the new season then an early Summer exit wouldn't be surprising. When you've climbed Mt Everest 4 times what else is there to do? Climb it with a piano on your back?
I hope it doesn't come to that but if he feels he needs a new challenge or a rest post season then it is a possibility .

Slot more pragmatic than Klopp. Today’s match would’ve been end to end with the latter.

But every European and Top 12 team know the easiest way to best Pep is not to press. Give us the ball and our own poor passing in the middle or final third will be our downfall.

Teams have set traps since October onwards to capitalise on this. And so many teams are surprisingly good at counter attack.

Without a prime KDB, Silva, Aguero type to open up defences with sublime passing and movement, Peps possession football has no end product.

I hope Pep becomes more pragmatic and adapts next season.

Proper shit the bed this season but let’s not forget he’s without Rodri and Bobb, someone needs to tell him there’s no shame in playing on the counter.
Bobb ? he's a promising young player but come on, he's never been a regular let alone a crucial player, you can't put him in the same phrase as Rodri.

If he doesn't adapt next season I think he will go the way Jose did where the game will just move on from him.

He needs a break Pep, a few months off to analyse and go again because I have no doubt that he will have us competing again next season if we have a good summer transfer window.

That world club cup has just come at the wrong time though...I am pretty sure Pep right now will not want anything to do with that tournament as it's going to give him and whatever players we have next season no break at all and a rest away from all the chaos this season has brought.

Well we have to agree to disagree, I really do think he was crucial to City plans this season, you only had to look at Peps face after revealing his injury, he was absolutely gutted. I’m not putting him in the same bracket as Rodri there different players, however imo both very important in opening up teams.

If we are putting all our faith in Oscar bobb he. We really are in trouble . This lad had hardly played and we don’t even know if he can sustain his form in a run of games . He could be the he next great player but he could also be just another academy kid time will tell but he shouldn’t be put on a pedestal already .

If we don't get top 4/5 I think Pep may walk at the end of the season. Injuries have obviously had a big impact, but his stubborn ess and reluctance not to change tactics and the way he sets the team up when we face an opponent that has the players to
expose our weaknesses is very frustrating. Personally, I still think we will finish in a CL position.
