Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

He didn’t make the subs early. Nor did he make the right subs. He made the subs after it became 2-1 and brought on the wrong player in Reijnders and didn’t pull off Haaland. He made subs for the sake of it and hoped they would come off.

You sound like gary neville.

Pep could finish 8th this year and I wouldn’t call for his head
He can leave when he wants

All I know is when he leaves we become the next Chelsea. Maresca or someone inferior comes in for a year then we chop and change managers every season and won’t get near winning a title for a while.

Spoilt self entitled fans need to think carefully
Ridiculous attitude. It's the same level of thought that kept all the previously great players we had who were palpably past their best. He goes when either he or the board decide he's no longer delivering what they expect.

And I'd say two seasons where we've been significantly underperforming is the time to be asking that question.

In the context of bad seasons it's pretty good still. 2nd in the league, in the CL knockouts, semi final 2-0 up in the league cup, 4th round of the FA Cup. But last season we ended up empty handed and having spent a fortune to replenish the squad we're seeing the same performances week after week. The standards at the club are abysmal compared to where they were and there's one man sat there responsible for it. He's got so much credit in the bank but any other manager would be under significant pressure for what he's serving up currently. How many times do we have to watch this City side capitulate in the second half when a team runs at us? How has he not come up with a solution for it yet? Pep at his best would have solved it during a game, now he can't solve it after about two months.

Yes we've got injuries, but we've got a bench with some talented academy players he won't use. Spurs had 12 first team players and still extracted more than we could.

It's a major concern.

With attendances down, there's a lot to be concerned about at the moment and everything points to making a change to freshen things up. It might not be the right decision, but maybe it's the necessary one. If we don't win a trophy this season it's time for him to go in my opinion and we should bring in Kompany to reunite the club with the fans.

If things don’t improve, we’re in danger of surrendering our ‘most points since Christmas’ accolade. It was bad enough taking the tree down in January, but taking that bunting down as well would leave the place looking frightfully bare…

Worth noting that we are actually 2nd in the table and in all competitions.

Clearly though there has been a dip in the new year and the performances have been extremely disappointing - and not enjoyable to watch at all.

I dare say the Club World Cup led to us losing more points than we otherwise would have earlier in the season as well. City, Chelsea, PSG, Real and a couple of others haven't quite been at the races this season.

Having said all that, I think that Arsenal will have a post-title winning drop off next season and that we'll go on to win the title with our newer players having more experience of playing together. Think about some of the disappointing performances this season vs this 'best ever' Arsenal team, we're not even that far behind them considering everything which has happened. It tells me that they can be overtaken with this team having longer in the oven and with a couple more additions.

He needs to call it a day end of the season
For the good of him & the club .
Everything looks tired including the manager, players & form .
We may be 2nd but going to Anfield next is going to be massive for the remainder of the season .

We know why you want him gone so don’t even try and suggest it’s because he doesn’t know how to manage any more.

It's the boring football that's the biggest issue for me. It's torture watching for the most part and then he wonders why the crowd are muted. Hard to get excited by the fare on the pitch.
The turgid style of play would be more palatable if we were sound defensively, could compete physically and saw out games like yesterday efficiently and picked up the points.

But we knew as soon as Spurs scored their first yesterday that we’d fold, and only Donnarumma’s brilliance saved us from a cricket score against United and Bodo.

Still laugh about some comments in here about how he’s built another winning machine after we beat Liverpool at home earlier in the season.

There’s clearly a disconnect between Pep and the DoF, either that or they’re fucking useless at identifying a player.

Out of all the signings since the treble, only Gvardiol has been of the required standard. Cherki is good value but I just get the feeling he’ll be gone in a couple of years after being in and out of the team/injured a lot.

The rest all can’t fucking pass or trap a ball. Pep still there wanting us to build from the back and be patient in possession against a well organised block, yet we have Donnarumma clipping it out for throw ins, Nunes, Kushanov, ait nouri all knocking it slowly between them then just going long to no one once they’ve worked themselves into an alley. Midfielders not showing for the ball and wide forwards that either can’t run or can’t score. It’s just one big mess.
