Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

It's not his fault when we shit the bed. But it's all Pep when we win yeah? Ok .
Who said that?

When Peps most trusted player in Bernardo is giving away the ball, there’s nothing Pep can do to calm the players down. There’s enough experience on that pitch to settle everything down. What is Pep meant to do about Guehis howler?

What does he and his team do during the weak as our finishing is abysmal at best, 4 on target from 20 tonight and coached all goals out of Semenyo and Haaland who despite scoring tonight is no where near where he was in the first half of the season.

Also looking at it now, without Rodri we should always play a midfield 3 with O'Reilly in there.

What was he meant to do? It was the players fault for giving the ball away, not Pep’s.
The attitude was rotten all second half, we never tried to create anything when we had the ball, just constant aimless passing, and we've seen that too often in the second half of games this season, he should've told the team to try to find Haaland as much as possible to exploit their central defensive pairing and kill the game off early in the second half but it never happened.

Haaland made a few runs right through the middle in the first half and he got pissed off
no one passed to him.

You’ve got two cart horses at the back, all you’ve got to do is play it through to him.

Poor in game management imo. Semenyo should’ve been hooked earlier and Ake should’ve been brought on before the 1st goal because we weren’t winning any of the aerial duels. Khusanov needed someone more experienced next to him

When were on the back foot he is a poor manager ( there Ive said it) I don't want it to be true but it is....he doesn't know how to change a game .
He can't stop Pickford continuously hoofing it 80 yards to Barry who contests the first ball and then if it runs free to Ndiaye or Dewsbury-Hall they're right at us with no Rodri there to stifle the attacks.

Absolutely mental thing to say. Thank god you've barely posted in your years on this forum because if this is the measure of what you've got to contribute I hope it's another few months before you pipe up again. When Pep came into City our PL record when losing at half-time was no wins in about 20 years. He's completely obliterated that record by changing games. You don't get to where Pep has got to by not changing games.

Our two most famous moments under him - winning the Champions League and the 3-2 comeback vs Villa before that - both came when he adapted under pressure and used new tactics to change the game. In the Champions League final he lost his best playmaker (De Bruyne off injured) so moved Stones high into midfield to compensate. In the Villa game he threw on Sterling, Zinchenko and Gundogan who played big parts in all three goals.

Astonishing thing to say.

I love the man but he must’ve surely seen we were getting sloppy before they got the equalizer. He had to make a change then ffs.

Still, I wouldn’t want anyone ala Maresca to take his place next season.

This is the first full season with a rebuild - if we get a couple midfielders we can piss it next year

He made a change then Kovacic let a player go past him for a goal! Pep since he’s has been here as always been the same with making subs he ain’t changing now
