Ferguson would not of gotten United out of the Champions league group we had last season or this, does this make Ferguson a bad manager in Europe?

Mancini isn't a failure in Europe,it is just the circumstances we are in that makes Europe at this time difficult. If we had Uniteds group last season or this we would of qualified.

Mancini is a good manager,he has proved it winning titles in countries with struggling clubs,Pep on the other hand took over the dominant club in Spain and had the luck of having the best player in the world in his ranks, why anyone should put Peps achievements above Mancinis I don't know,it is only an opinion but I really doubt Pep could of gotten us so far so fast as Mancini has.
Well with us he has been, knocked out twice in the europa league against pretty poor opposition and now basically knocked out in CL for the second year in a row. With the squad he hes had at his disposal its a massive underachievement which ever way you look at it.
This year hasn't been an underachievement in the CL. Dortmund and Madrid are both better than us. In many ways.
oh god. Classic expectation realignment to suit a narrative.

We are the English fucking champions. We have miles better players than Dortmund and Ajax. Therefore our results have been poor. Ludicrous to suggest anything else.

Hard to disagree with that.

I'm a Mancini fan & would rather keep him than bring in Guardiola but that won't be the case if his performances in Europe are still as bad 2 years from now. He has been awful in Europe & not just in the Champions League & there is no guarantee that we would have got out of any of the other groups as we have been poor.

Tactically he's got it wrong & he seems to be failling to get a solid performance out of whichever 11 he picks.

In our league he's already a legend, & for that reason should be given more time imo, but he has to sort out a decent level in Europe or he's history (if that's not the case already).

We batter Sunderland with the like of Milner, Barry, Richard and Lescott, Yet we flopped at Ajax with the same players.

Sorry but Neah, we DON'T have miles better players than Dortmund and Ajax.

I think we do. We should have, considering what we have spent on them, compared to those teams.

Tevez, Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Kompany, Hart and probably Clichy would walk into both those sides.

Half the above would get in the Real squad.

I can't believe half of you wouldn't want Guardiola at City ffs. He's pioneered and revolutionised a new era in football, he's had a global impact on every football club in the world. People tend to forget the likes of Xavi and Iniesta were at Barca before he arrived, they were transformed by Guardiola's methods, not vice versa. I don't want Mancini to go but if he does there are only two men capable of replacing him; Guardiola or Mourinho.

.

What about Madrid and the money they have spent,Dortmund took four points off them, nearly six but for a last minute goal from Ozil, money spent has nothing to do with team quality,Dortmund are a quality team.

After tonight I think it's clear which team Guardiola would love to manage the most between City and Chelsea.
Is it? I doubt he makes his decisions based on one match.

Lets sell our lot and buy some new player for £8.50 then. Dickhead.

If you spend a fucking shitload, it is not an unreasonable expectation that you should be able to assemble a better team than another lot who spent diddly squat. Or else why would you spend it.

We should be better than Dortmund. If we are not, why not?

This thread should be closed down.

We have a manager who have made us what we are! support him for fuck sake.

And this too!

Every second of every game we play, support the man who got us where we are.
The grass is NOT always greener!

I think maybe you should read the thread before making a tit of yourself.

No-one (in the main anyway) is suggesting we should sack Mancini. We are supporting him.

City haven't been firing fully, sometimes that happens. Stop blowing it out of proportion.
