Pep Guardiola

Guardiola is a myth look at Tito Villanova, doing even better than Pep did
The fact is that it takes a manager at least 3 seasons to get a team playing the way he wants it and once he leaves a successful club then it takes just as long for his influence to wear off. Hence why Avram Grant came within a penalty kick of winning the CL with what was Mourinho's team. If Villanova can do the same thing in 10 years time with his own squad then you can fairly say what you've said.

Thanks for the FA Cup and League, Sparky

He actually does like and admire Jose.
I read something at the weekend, think it was Daniel Taylor in the Guardian talking about Ferguson's successor and I think that's where it was mentioned that Ferguson would not recommend Mourinho as his replacement

Lauren blanc is next utd boss apparently.

My arse.

That's what two League managers told me, quite independently, so I'd prefer to listen to them than you if that's OK.

Hughes wasn't the world's greatest manager but he had done some groundwork and it was only in Mancini's third season, having spent a lot of money, that we actually won the league. So you can take that as a fact if you like.

GUAARDIOLA

MANCHESTER CITY AND CHELSEA SET TO MISS OUT ON GUARDIOLA AS VILANOVA STEPS DOWN AT BARCA
Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has stepped down from his position due to a recession on a tumour on a salivary gland which was operated on this morning.
Barcelona will give more information during the day and are preparing a statement at the moment but for now, they are said to have already approached a coach to take charge for the remainder of the season. Jordi Roura, Vilanova's assistant, will take charge until further notice.
It is telling that Barcelona are only looking for someone for the remainder of this season as Pep Guardiola is set to return to the game at the beginning of next season.

Rumours are already rife that former Barcelona manager Guardiola will return to the club to replace Vilanova, who replaced him in June, however we reported in November that Guardiola has a preliminary agreement to take over at Manchester City in the summer, according to a claim by a FIFA agent. Read the full report here.

Guardiola quit Barcelona in the summer in order to take a year out from football and enjoy some time out in New York.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich failed to lure Guardiola to Stamford Bridge after sacking Roberto Di Matteo and employed Rafa Benitez on a temporary basis. It was widely believed that Guardiola would join Chelsea after his sabbatical but Abramovich looks to have lost out for good now.

Also, Guardiola said he was apprehensive about committing to Chelsea as he thinks Abramovich is too trigger happy with his managers.

Manchester City appointed former Barcelona executive Txiki Begiristain as their director of football in October, to work alongside another former Barcelona chief executive Ferran Soriano.
