PEP GUARDIOLA WILL KO MANCHESTER CITY BOSS BID IN FAVOUR OF UNITED

PEP GUARDIOLA is ready to snub the blue half of Manchester – for the red.

The Daily Star Sunday revealed this month how Manchester City told Guardiola to name his price to replace Roberto Mancini.

City sporting director Txiki Begiristain met with the Spaniard but the former Barcelona boss told friends it is the United job he wants.

That is expected to be available in the summer with Sir Alex Ferguson planning to retire but even if he changes his mind, Guardiola is prepared to wait.

In a huge snub to City, Guardiola, 41, would extend his sabbatical should Fergie decide to stay.

Guardiola could double his money at City but is more interested in the Old Trafford project and has met Ferguson over the last few months to discuss it.

The men have property in New York and are reported to have met at least three times there recently.

A three-year deal is on the table for Guardiola who will want two assistants and three new coaches for the clubs’s youth programme.

Well if Pep has told his friends and his friends then told the Daily Star then who are we to argue.

Daily star exclusive! no quotes by anyone connected. How are they allowed to get away with blatant speculation and calling it an exclusive?

The only thing they can't do is make up quotes (hasn't stopped some in the past), that's the only thing they aren't supposed to do. They can and do make anything else up they like.

There job isn't to tell us news, it's to sell papers.

We have no idea how good he will be in the premier league. A least with mourinho you know what you're going to get.
