Pep has a straightener with Tebas

Disagree. He's bluffing and/or slinging mud in the hope it'll stick. If they had anything meaningful to throw at us, we'd never have been invited to be part of the Super League.

so barcelona are not under any FFP hahahahaaha

La Liga is fucked because of people like this clown who squandered the Spanish teams years of dominance -what we are seeing now is the aftermath of this tossers incompetence and he’s stalling until the penny drops

I was just reading the comments to this story on City Xtra. Some Liverpool fan(I assume by his VVD name) was harping on about City's wages being highest in the PL there. It slipped me by at the time, probably because I was more concerned with the losses. That turned out to be more to do with City's accounts being done before the TV money got paid out, meaning it was more like half of the figure that was circulating(£125m).

However, there was an attempt to say City had "the highest wage bill in PL history", which this Liverpool fan had picked up on I imagine.

Firstly, United held that title for years and it never became a UK-MSM headline no matter how much they increased it by. Secondly, the Liverpool fans were in straight up denial about their wage bill being higher than City's a couple of seasons back. That's what happens when you have a successful team and you want to keep hold of your players. There's bonuses to pay when you do win things and there's always interest in your players when it's time to renew a contract. Lastly, I don't even think it was a record because United's was £352m the season before it(2018-19) and the source was Deloitte.

We also have Aguero and Silva off the books, who were on in excess of £200k per week. I do hope we are being smarter with our wage structure, since it's started to creep up. As I understood it, it was already heavily bonus incentive based. It's much worse when you're a United paying out what they were while winning nothing, so too with Barca these days.

So has Tebas actually landed the job at UEFA? I thought they were just considering him. Shocking decision having him on board if so.

Metalartin. I remember reading that he was appointed as the representative of European Leagues to the UEFA Exec in April 21. This of course before the true depth of the Barca problems became public and the Super Lge breakaway occurred. The UEFA organisation is so fucked up I don't think anything they do can be regarded as a shocking decision.

Yeah, I remember the wording of the news when it first broke was sketchy but I do think I remember seeing official confirmation after the initial reports, come to think of it.

Urgh!
