It is, if they are doing this against teams going deep in the Europa league one who has won it last two years what other leagues are good enough?

4th placed Villarreal knocked off the team challenging for serie A for example.

It's a different matter coming up against these teams occasionally rather than seeing them every week. Clubs here would go out purely to stop them, & keep doing it relentlessly until one of them succeeded, then they all do it.
Plenty of teams have handed Real & Barca'a arses to them in recent years. And Chelsea won the Champions League by defeating both Barca & Bayern.

In our league they would face that every week, & would probably end up being better teams because of it, provided they didn't slip up for a couple of seasons. In that case, they would be Utd.

A little yes. MP is a cool character but perhaps to laid back. Pep is going to be brilliant I know but we are in an era where players get the managers sacked if it goes tipped up and they get upset. Aggression has to be controlled

We are talking about the guy who lambasted the Bayern medical team and pushed them out the club and now you are worried about him upsetting players?

Bit concerning that he said to the Bayern players he'd cut their balls off if they lost in extra time!
Yes you need aggression but it has to be controlled to an extent that your not upsetting the players. We don't need another Mancini hot head.

Why? Do you believe he actually would have cut their balls off?

Pep is a master of team talks. He knows exactly what to say and more importantly how to say it to get reactions from his players. What he said clearly worked last night.

You really think teams in the premier league could do that? Just because teams try to stop them doesn't mean they can.

Plenty teams have handed them a beating? Really? And besides we are talking about now not years ago. The premier league is as bad as its been in years so it's hardly a good comparison

There are a few games per year which any of the top teams can play well & still lose.

The rest, are like a bunch of fucking ducks lined up in a shooting range. If any of the top boys lose to any of them, ever, it's because they fucked up.

Most of them just play the same ol game, which Barca etc know they can beat, year in, year out. Atletico turned up, well drilled & instead of playing the same ol routine game, did something different. Straight away, raided the party.

Best league in the world, my arse. Two or three of the best teams ? Absolutely. League ? No fucking chance.
so the epl is the best league in the world then ?
with great teams like palace and norwich lol

Ah - English newspapers. He did not. Müller just joked with Beckenbauer from Sky studio to stadium. The English version of the AS has it how it happened...

http://en.as.com/en/2016/03/17/football/1458231284_218688.html

During the match, Bayern Munich legend Franz Beckenbauer said he imagined that Guardiola’s approach to his halftime team talk would be to “castrate them if they didn’t win” the game.

The reporters informed Müller of Der Kaiser’s prediction after the match and asked what Guardiola had said to his players during the break. “It was something down those lines,” Müller said. “He didn’t say he’d castrate us though; he said he’d cut our balls off.”

Pique isn't just a good defender, he's the best defender in the world without question

Is that because he's got the best rating on Fifa?

He's slow, he's poor positionally, he's not that good in the air, when the going get's tough he's likely to fuck up.

Would have Stones, Otamendi, Laporte, a fit Kompany,Boateng Ramos, Varane, Godin,Hummels, Chiellini, Bonucci, Thiago Silva, Vertonghan and Alderweild before him.
