Pep stay for 5 more years or a CL trophy?

It has to be the Champions League. Pep could leave, we could get relegated and when we are down in league 2 with 35,000 each week we can sing all about winning everything and dominating. We can dine off it forever more. Until we do, unfortunately the job hasn't been done.

It's the one the players, management, owners all want and it should be the ones us fans want now.

Champs league it is overdue , actually think Pep will leave if we win it , he will have nothing to prove and will need another sabbatical to re-charge his batteries , our club will not cease to exist if he walks of into the sunset and he will be a very tough act to follow but our club makes a lot of correct decisions , i trust the club to make the right appointment.

While I’m not really arsed, him, the club and players are and they deserve it.

For me, this is one of the reason why we haven’t won it.

Much like what Pep has been on about recently, and look at the contrast between how much we were behind the team in the first half and second half in the stadium at the Spurs game the other night… I think the general detached disinterest around the Champions League with our fanbase has a knock-on effect and feeds through to the players.

I think the players can subconsciously or maybe even consciously feel that we aren’t arsed and aren’t fully behind them to win the Champions League.

Champions League = Plastic tourist trophy

Domestic trophies are the only ones worth winning.

That’s just not true in the slightest!

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve said myself this season that to join the smaller elite club of winning three English First Division league titles in a row is something I want more than our first Champions League trophy.

However, I really want that Champions League trophy at some point soon as well and in any normal season (where it’s not the chance to do three Prems in a row), it’s:

Premier League….Champions League





FA Cup


EFL Cup





Community Shield.

And I do care about the Community Shield!

I don’t think they did mate. Through very poor judgement, they begrudgingly made a snap decision, thought over and discussed in what was just a matter of hours (not years like United and Liverpool had been plotting), and thought they couldn’t not join that Super League which they had no input into the organisation of and weren’t greatly an enamoured with the idea of.

They knew it was a huge mistake and what really was important and came to their senses.

This poll is nonsense. It's not realistic at all.

Pep has stated that he'll stay with us so long as it's fun, that he has influence, that he enjoys his job, if it's still challenging.

Perhaps he'll leave us if he wins the Champion's League - who knows? I don't think so though. He'll leave us if he's tired and no longer likes the job. City have bent over backward to ensure that Pep is surrounded by management that he likes - so getting tired may happen but we've done the best to prevent this.

Should Pep tire - what about a year or two or three off and then return? Pretty sure that City would offer this.
