Why do people keep saying this? He has gotten less red cards (1 in 2 seasons) than Kompany in a league with THREE TIMES more yellow and red cards than the Premier League on average. Given what defenders get away with over here, pulling at shirts and climbing, Pepe will love it.

But if City get him i think he will become a big hit with all the fans because this guy gives everything for his team. Like Zabba and micah never pulls out and gives more than 100% every game!

Dont forget La Liga is a bit lame for fouls and so on, the premier league is much more physical and he will thrive on it.

And he will be our nutter!! lol.

Maybe this is part of the new youth policy. Bring in players who are going to spend lots of time suspended which makes spaces available to bring in the academy players.
 
People saying he would spend more time suspended than playing and that he's a headcase, what did you think about Nigel de Jong? Because on other teams forums they where saying the same things about him.
 
Really excited about this, will always step up and be counted and we won't crumble when kompany has his inevitable 4-6 week spell out.

The idea if my understanding was correct on the Marquinhos thread that because he could play across the whole back line was being bought to replace Maicon, Lescott and Kolorov. If that is the case or at least to cover Lescott and Kolorov then our defensive line up could be

Richards
Zab

Kompany
Marquinhos

Nasty
Marquinhos

Clichy
Marquinhos

with Maicon assisting somewhere. But for one incoming salary we would get rid of two high earners at least and potentially shift Maicon who wasn't at his best last year. Maybe we are after shifting Lescott Maicon and Kolorov with Pepe and Marquinhos replacing them. :-)
