Didn't see much if him last season bar the games with us and the odd el Classico but he'd be a top signing. He's a bit of a hothead but him and Kompany is a lot more formidable than Kompany and Lescott, or Nastasic even. He's also at the right age not to worry about stalling Nastasic.

It is not City's job to make room for Nastasic, it is his job to force his way into the team regularly, on merit, not just as the manager's pet.

There are enough games in the season for him to play, & learn, & improve until he becomes impossible to drop as a genuine first team centre back rather than a kid who people make allowances for.

I don't think he will personally, I think he wil get found out, but the opportunity is there for him to prove me wrong, even if we sign Pepe. There are plenty of games.

C'mon, that's a bit cynical. Especially when you take into consideration that he was thrown in at the deep end last season and came out fairly dry.
How much more could you examine this young lad?

I wonder how many people bigging up Pepe's disciplinary record comment on Rooney's (what was it) one yellow card last season yet still claim he's a dirty and nasty fucker ? Both players of the same ilk.

If he comes he comes, happy to go with Pellegrini's judgement, his age doesn't concern me either, physically he's in good shape and naturally fit and lean, he still has a good 3-4 seasons in him at the top level imo.

First point is spot on, second point... 42 yellows & 3 reds in 3 years. I can live with one sending off a season tbh & if he isn't picking up yellows as a defender then he's not doing his job right.
We also can't moan about age, the club now obviously want a mix of older experience with youth players. We moan about not getting Cavani or Isco & say our own up & coming talent is "not good enough" or "a huge risk" yet in this thread alone everyone is saying "stick with Nastasić" a player know one had heard of 12 months ago & is only 19/20 years old! Look how well he's adapted & he was "unproven in the premier league" too.
Maya be we give Guidetti, Lopez, Suarez their chance & accept they may actually do a decent job for us along side the likes of the older & experienced players we're linked with?
