City fans continue to write down our 1st choice starting eleven and think that it's a match for anyone. Fair enough, but take Kompany, Yaya and Aguero out of the line up and how wonderful do we look then? Pepe can play alongside Kompany, he can play alongside Nastasic allowing Kompany to be rested, and he can cover for any injury/suspension that Kompany/Nastasic may pick up. Nastasic is a good young player, but he isn't the finished article yet, and he will benefit from seeing a top quality centre-back like Pepe at close quarters. Plenty of games to go around during the course of a long hard season.

we only need 11 players .

they can all play (hopefully) 60 games next year staying injury free the whole time.

2 centre backs should do us.

Seems Ancellotti wants him to stay because has a young team and wants one or two older guys to make sure everthing kept in order on the pitch and thinks he could well be made Captain. Also saying RM should refuse any bids as well. Seems this one, unless things change, is dead in the water which will please some.
