Re: Pepe

He would be a good signing although you have to question wjy he would want to leave or Real would want to sell him

BUT he is a top centre half and i cant see what others are available out there whom would be relatively risk free and available.

Personally would be quite happy if he came

The fact that Ancelotti is desperate to keep hold of him says it all. Ancelotti and Pellegrini, two of the best coaches in Europe, rate him - and that's because he is a fantastic footballer.

I might be wrong but i did read relatively recently that Pepe will not be first choice centre half. There has to be some reason why he would consider leaving or RM consider selling him. Clearly it could all be bollcosk but City must have had some sort of indication that there a chance because why else make a bid?

All confusing but hopefully become clearer

Like you i think he is a top top centre half just maybe a little past his very very best

A dirty cheating thug, and easily the most hateful player out of the last 6 el classico's. Although, if we sign him, he's obviously brilliant in every way possible.

Well everyone seems to still love Nigel De Jong, i'm sure Pepe would remind everyone of Nigel a bit

Nigel was never nasty tbf.
lol of course not

Re: Pepe

I'm a little late getting into this thread but as it stands, I do not want Pepe. Our backline is solid and not where our problems are. Most of our problems lie on the attacking end of the pitch and thus that is where we have addressed our needs in the transfer market thus far.

Nastasic was great last year given his age and will only improve. He is a very good pair with Kompany. The only thing Pepe will bring is a bit more quality depth to the club but as it stands I think our depth is okay at that position.

Unless Madrid and said they would sell him for less than 10 million, then I'd be over it. 20+ million though? I'll pass.

You obviously did not see Garcia playing as centre back vs Soton while Vinnie was injured and Kolo was away. Although i agree that 20mil is too much for him.
