Everyone knows this information already though.

Not sure about Pepe. Heard nothing from City and nothing from either Pepe or Real. Only paper talk so far. Even Pellegrini refused to comment on it in a press conference the other day. Just seems a strange thing to do in this age of instant global communications, that's all.

Well I can't be certain here, but I'm guessing that Txiki has done one or two more transfer deals than you have, & that if he thought it would cause any kind of a problem for the deal, he wouldn't have said anything.

Probably the best course of action.

The rest of their team can deal with being down to 10 men in league games against 6th placed sides. In the PL, we might find it a lot harder to win away at Liverpool with 10 men than Real would away to Granada.

I rather think that RM are set up not for Granada away I think they are set up to compete in the CL something I think they have done reasonably well

Again to play for RM regardless of whom you play against you must be a decent player first and foremost

MP will be expected to progress in the CL and now matter how you dress it In a group like last year which we could very well draw similar there is no fucking that any of our centre backs Vinny apart are good enough

The inury to Nastasic and young Rekik out on a loan shows how fragile we are at the back. A serious injury to Kompany and we need to rely on a combination of Richards/Lescott/Garcia for CD. That is simply not good enough. As for Boyata, he has shown nothing at City or abroad on loan to justify he is a good enough player for us. Unless Pellegrini states he will be.

Pepe is a different class than Lescott, Richards, Garcia or Boyata in that position. I even think Nastasic and Kompany can learn a thing or two from Pepe. People look too much to the often shown highlights from Pepe and the nasty habits he has. He didn't last year and he didn't when he played under Pellegrini. Without Mourinho at Real or Scolari at Portugal mixing his head up, I'm pretty sure Pepe will be an absolute class addition to our squad. At 30 he has plenty of years left in him. You don't turn slow at 30, especially not as a CD. If we can get him for EPS 15 million I would defo try and make it happen.

I can't say Chiellini moving would make no sense at all. As far as Pepe goes I'm convinced Madrid would bend is over on the fee. I'd have no problem buying him but paying anything above £10m would make me uneasy given his age. Madrid can't sell him atm either as they'd need to bring in a replacement first

There isn't that much between them in terms of age.

Pepe is, in my opinion, a better defender and more complete player while also being much more suited to the right side of central defence.

I'd much rather have Pepe than Chiellini and wouldn't expect us to be paying that much for Pepe despite reports.

Pepe is, in my opinion, a better defender and more complete player while also being much more suited to the right side of central defence.

I'd much rather have Pepe than Chiellini and wouldn't expect us to be paying that much for Pepe despite reports.

I suppose they might also being letting Coentrao go, so a centre-back that can cover for Marcelo on the left would be useful. Replace 2 players with 1.

Being right or left footed doesn't dictate them playing RCD or LCD.

true. Speaking of 2 players with 1, if we were to draw a Bayern or Barca in the CL, I'd probably use Pepe in a DM role with Kompany and Nastasic as the CBs. Never seen Pepe have a bad game in midfield, actually.
