Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I think he'll stay for one more year in addition to his present contract, obviously like everyone else i'd love him to stay for a lot longer but i don't think he will.
I know it's daft at this stage to talk about it but the Manager that follows Pep has to be the right choice and we have to get that appointment spot on, someone who will carry on with Peps work in a similar fashion.
I think Pep will have an input on who succeeds him.

Pep built the greatest team on the planet with Barcelona, and won was it 14 titles in 4 seasons with them. He then developed the by far strongest team in Germany and won God knows how many titles there in 3 seasons. I am thinking he will want to achieve the same level of results with City before moving on to the next challenge. He is that kind of guy IMO, but I also think he kind of needs to do it to keep up his reputation as the best manager in the world. At the moment I think he (unfairly off course) is being given the reputation as a check book manager by many. For those reasons I think he will renew and stay beyond the 3 seasons.
Perhaps this is just wishful thinking. I really want him to stay for ever.

I've always thought he would manage at club level until summer 21 then manage a team in the 2022 world cup . After that go into an academy somewhere. I can't see him fitting another club in before that so a two year extension would be my guess, but it is just that a guess.

He stays until we win everything. Part of me hopes that is a while off just so i can enjoy this football for longer. There's every reason to think he might buck his trend and stay here for a while, everything is tailored for him and the squad is very young, my hope is he sets himself a new challenge at City once he wins it all for us and he stays for a while. But we might see him move on after he's won it all and proven himself here as i think he's got his eyes on doing it in Italy too and eventually an international team before retiring early or doing something slightly different. Just so long as he's never involved with another English side, that would be heart breaking.

why do people insist on calling peps play as tika taka , pep has already said that tika taka is the complete opposite to what he wants, tika taka is passing for the sake of passing ,its not our style.

4 years max I reckon - at Barca he binned it because he was exhausted - the same will happen here

I think it's a sign of madness to walk away from developing the likes of Foden for the next 10 years.

that being said, if he could stay till at least Euro 2020, then go off and do the national team stuff, I hope he would come back to oversee the global CFG youth development and coaching, to mold youth development and have consistent coaching across our global network, so we bring through young talent and coaches in his image across the globe and feed them through the network up to us, who take the best. we would then have to constant stream of ready-made talent and we would be able to subvert the correct location/work permit/youth rules. CFG would then operate on a level far beyond any other club/third party/Mendes style agent "partnerships", and Pep's influence would have a much more long lasting and embedded effect than it did at either Barca or Bayern

we're the only club/group who can enable him to leave his mark across the football world and leave a lasting legacy, rather than everyone going "wasn't he great? shame nobody can follow him up"

I think you need to clean your glasses, mate. No one is calling it tika taka.

for me there is no where else to go other than national manager. he is beginning to show his undoubted ability in the premier league and will want to dominate the league and Europe with city, by then there will be a style of play that city play that will provide continuity when he goes. if he can give us 5 more years of dominance, leave us with a young team playing like this I will wish him well. dare I say, FA should then offer him a blank pay cheque and a 10 year contract to sort out the England team. look at the improvement of our England boys, imagine what he could do with kane, alli, etc
