Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

No but I rate teams like Stuttgart with Seb Hoeness. They play better football than Leverkusen.
Alonso will always get praised for the invincibles, it’s in an impressive achievement. He’s got Real Madrid written all over him. He’s that type of manager.
Yeah, successful

Just watched Pep’s pre-match presser.

He gives nothing away but if had to bet I think this is his last season… just a gut feel.

I’d like him to do one more and City appoint Amorim then. I can’t see him staying beyond next season at all.

It has but there is a part of me excited for that next chapter. I hope that isn't right now but when it comes it will be something different. United dropped off because the man holding everything together left. Pep leaving is huge, but the whole structure is still in place.
As an honorary FOC, I could depart this world now (Mrs Peg will be disappointed it's not imminent) content in the knowledge that I have seen my team from up Claremont Road, rise to become the best team and club in the world, and yes, most persecuted.

Don't get me wrong, I would like to see the North stand finished, but when I get down there and meet Beelzebub and he sees a smile on my face as the flames lick my feet and arse, I'll be thinking of Sergio running past five rag defenders on the edge of their box and sticking it in the top corner!

(christ, I hope you can't get football365 down there!)

The latest pep interview will not do anything to quell the speculation. He looked tired today or maybe he is just sick of chat that surrounds his contract.

For sporting reasons I understand why he won’t sign long term so the media questions is just something he has to put up with unfortunately.

I get the feeling that the end is near. I was hoping that he would just carry on signing rolling deals but with Txiki leaving and having conquered all before him maybe he thinks it’s time.

Does he have the hunger to go again? Is a changing of the guard on the way? Either way we need to enjoy the remaining time left.

Fuck this place is going to be mental when he goes.

It’s ALL speculation at the moment. I actually didn’t think he looked tired. The only certainty I take from his interviews is that at some time in the future he’d like to be a national manager as it gives him more down time.

If we like speculation - maybe that’s why they’ve only given Tuchel an 18 month contract :-)
