Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Only on here could any kind of negative be conjured up in Pep signing on for two more years.
It isn't negative, it is putting a scenario out there. It was widely reported it was only a year, if he was planning to leave at the end of next season then it puts to bed all this nonsense we have had being in the last year of his contract. Judging by his comments he was very close to calling it quits this year. He may feel it is easier next year without all of the noise surrounding his future with him signing for 2 years. We all hope that isn't the case, as blues we are wired to fear the worst no? A rebuild this summer, a successful season next year where he can fly off into the sunset after a nice round 10 years and us on top.

P.S I hope he stays forever

simon stone reports the news by saying...

"As a manager, Guardiola will forever be entwined with that great Barcelona side including Lionel Messi that won two Champions Leagues in three seasons and has gone down as one of the greatest of all time.

His achievements at City will not eclipse those."
Simon Stone is a fucking embarrassment.

Even children aren't that childish.

If you're reading this, Simon, please know it makes me so, so happy to see your fragile spirit implode in such an unbecoming manner.

Oh he's reading. They all are. Must be hard to read with salty tears streaming down their face though.

The greatest manager in the world not only manages City, but he LOVES it here. Not one of the red cartel. Manchester City. They hate it, they resent it and they're MASSIVELY jealous of it and they're going to have to deal with it for 2 MORE YEARS!

Seems like they've took the news well over on the old Red Cafe.

This was taken from the thread ''Pep Guardiola sack watch" lol.

'The most logical reason behind pep signing a new deal is that he knows City are going to be rightfully relegated and he wants to prove he can achieve something with them that is actually their level, a playoff push in the championship perhaps.

Pep is no fool, he knows as well as the rest of us do that every single thing city have ever “won*” essentially doesn’t count because it was achieved through financial doping and cheating.'

When you consider Pep managed Barca for 4 years and Bayern 3 years it makes me think we are very fortunate to have him manage us for 11 years, maybe more. People said he won't last here, too cold too miserable and too rainy. I've never heard him once complain about the weather or Manchester. It seems he's more committed now than he's ever been which is so reassuring. He loves the club, the city and us, and we're so grateful and delighted for the world's best manager to extend another 2 years. Tomorrow will be buzzing, can't wait.

Problem is with both those clubs is politics with other people higher up in the organisation sticking their two pennies worth in telling him how he should do things. This doesn’t happen at City, the ethos is what do you need to be successful at your role and that is worked too. Exactly the same over at the swamp, too many people stuck in the 1990s thinking it should all be done how Taggert did it. Probably why Pep never rang him back.

To Pep, the Maestro of Our Sky Blue Dreams.

Oh, Pep, the guardian of our Etihad flame,
Through rain and shine, you've redefined the game.
A poet of football, your vision so clear,
You’ve brought us glory year after year.

Your mind, a canvas where tactics take flight,
Turning fields of green into works of delight.
With passing and pressing, with style and with grace,
You've etched your philosophy in this sacred place.

The trophies glimmer, the victories sweet,
Under your reign, no rivals compete.
From Aguero's magic to Haaland's might,
You've made us invincible, a dazzling sight.

Yet beyond the silver, the moments so rare,
You’ve given us pride, a love we all share.
A team together, a family strong,
To the sound of your vision, we all belong.

Oh, Pep, our beacon, our guiding star,
In Manchester's heart, you have raised the bar.
For every chant, for every cheer,
We thank you, dear Pep, our leader, our seer.

Forever City, forever your fan,
With you at the helm, we know we can.
From the terraces loud, our love we profess,
To Pep Guardiola, to all our success.

Rags clutching at straws…

Their level, ffs what trophies have the rags collected over the last decade?
