Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

December is a nonsense,it would damage us as it did last time,he has said all season the time to talk about contracts is after the season,so now
The club probably knows if he goes or stays. Just we and the Players don't know.

Imagine if u say pep is going. Player would play different because they know he is gone

I know that Pep doesn't like strikers that are over 5ft 8ins, but we do need one that is over 6ft. How many times have we played crosses into the box that a player like Edin Dzeko would have loved to get his head on one. We are hopeless at corners under Roberto Mancini we had a lot better record of scoring from corners then under Pep.

The next manager has to be able to change his tactics as the game progresses, which most Pep fails to see that he needs to change his tactics and formation. Who that is I don't know. guess we will have to see of Vinny manages Anderlecht as to whether he will want to come and manage Man City. However the major draw back is that now Vinny is a director of Anderlecht. So I can't see him becoming our manager any time soon.

Whatever happens I think the club has this covered. Pep isn't going to leave us short. He gave both Barcelona and Bayern good notice when he was leaving and allowed them to find a suitable replacement.

Delighted if Pep extends. Shows he has the fight for it. Despite this season's disappointments, we were untouchable and irresistible previously and Europe was the only sticking point on greatness. Who doesn't want to watch us playing attacking, possession football? Most teams can't deal with it, Europe is a question we've failed to answer on many occasions.

He's rebuilt us before also, and fixed these exact problems. Every opposition shot seems to go in, we don't finish off games, he knows how to sort that and if he has the fire in his belly to do it then fantastic. I imagine he may well do as the CL must be on his bucket list plus I think he's seen the snidey and unfair side of our media and competition clearer than ever this season.

If true we can now go out to potential players and give them confidence that pep wants them, not just for one year, but for at least half the contact we're offering them, and were targeting every cup, medal and shield on offer worth mentioning.

We lost , end of, we finished 19 points behind the winners and lost 9 times.

We deserved to loose to Wolves, United, Southampton, Spurs, Norwich and Lyon , we were poor.
18 points bud you can't get this wrong or else your giving the dippers a shared record.

For me Pep has to stop bigging up the opponents before a game, and play your best team, losing to Norwich, Wolves and Rags and drawing with the likes of Spurs, Newcastle and Palace is a joke.

That is Why it will not be decided in dec,we know he is here for next season,no announcement is better than one in december, the players will know if he is not staying by december

Apologies 18, but still far too many.

Biggest concern with Pep is belittling us in the Champions League. "no experience in europe, no history" and the like. Simply find it insulting and if I was Khaldoon I would tell him to shut the f*ck up and do the job he is handsomely paid to do.

Our owner has invested enormous amounts on players, facilities and the best manager, he has all the tools, stop knocking us and go and show your the best.

Why would we not want Pep to stay? Our most successful manager ever.
If the players get the slightest sign he is off, morale will be very low, next season is going to be extremely tough as it is.

No preseason, little break, compacted season , many new players and the euros next summer.

Difficult with full preparation and a hungry dressing room, never mind a manager leaving at the end of the season and half the dressing room still pissed with the Lyon debacle.

Sorry he has given us dream football and a bucket full of titles, but if a renewal is not signed before the seasons starts, to me he has to go.

I f we are not challenging for the title at Christmas the drop off in commitment will be enormous , especialy with the Euro's later in the year.

So no manager can ever see out their contract? final year really is a dissmisal year?

To me yes, only if they leave suddenly with a renewal expected to be signed.

When ferguson announced his retirement the first time mid season it was a total disaster and he had te reverse the decision.

I do worry about some players in that dressing room, Bernardo for one and maybe even Laporte in terms of the relationship with Pep.

Most managers are sacked, they don't tend to see out contracts and then just move on with everyone shaking hands & wishing each other the best

Pep has done it twice without any drop off from his teams.
