I wont need to go back ‘decades’ to find a worse defence but merely EVERY Premier League defence in the past 8 years won by sides other than City.

United 2013 won the league with 89 points the following season finished 7th with 64 points

Chelsea won the league in 2015 with 87 points the following season finished 10th with 50 points

Leicester won the league in 2016 with 81 points the following season finished 12th with 44 points

Chelsea won the league in 2017 with 93 points the following season finished 5th with 70 points.

Actually Pep has made the best title defence of the last decade, by being the only side to retain the title in 2019 and last year we finished 2nd a better achievement than any other club since 2010.
