Very confused by the Rodri thing mate. He's started more minutes than ANYONE outfield this season. Was basically ever present last season too. Surely if Pep doesn't rate him we'd not be playing him every week?

I'd wager cuz there's no other proper defensive midfielder in the team besides Ferna. Ferna can't play every 90 minutes anymore, but Pep still prefers the extra security of a proper holding midfielder.

I think the fact that Pep has stuck religiously to another holder next to Rodri probably suggests there are aspects of Rodri Pep think is lacking.

Same here. I'd give Rodri a rotation spot behind whoever new defensive midfielder we sign, cuz Ferna's leaving. And I still feel there's a good player in Bernardo.

Certainly if Rodri's needed to raise funds/makeweight for purchases, I wouldn't shed any tears if he left tbh.

Still scratching my head at the thought of Pep wanting Rodri gone in the summer but still playing him every minute possible.
