Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I’m pleased he’s staying but I will say this I’m finding it hard to forgive him for lasts night debacle. It was there for the taking but in typical city fashion our coach lauded as a genius (?) does the unthinkable.
Short memory - so you’ll soon forget yesterday

We haven't done well in Europe at all.

Tuchel six months in charge and not penny spent, European Cup winners. Whilst we have spent about a billion and managed 1 CL final even lost that in terrible way.
Yeah, a little better than spending nearly a billion and losing to a mid-table Spanish team in the 'We're Fucking Wank' cup though. I suppose last night was a little bit of a consolation for you.

Is that it then. We’ve peaked and we shouldn’t strive to be better? Stupid

You don't take into account the context of this season: no preseason, injuries to key players like Aguero, just one fit striker most of the season, but even he missed 2 months. When was the last time a team won the league and was 3 wins away from the quadruple without any top goalscorer? When? Add to that Sterling's poor form and it's sort of amazing we won the league by 12 pts, 3rd title in 4 years, won the league cup, reached the CL final for first time, etc.

Turns out there are miserable daft clowns on here who think that Pep's a failure if he doesn't win at least a treble every other season. He won a treble back in 2019! He should have won another treble in 2021, if he was good enough for City, right???

Or we’ve been utterly embarrassing in Europe and have consistently made the same errors

Reaching the CL final without a top scorer is utterly embarassing? Are you a wum, crazy or just an imbecile?

You are completely ignoring the refereeing mistakes against us vs Liverpool, Spurs and Lyon, and are repeating media cliches about our spending. You are ignoring also individual mistakes vs Spurs (Aguero, Laporte) and Lyon (Sterling, Laporte) which had nothing to do with tactics and the manager. If you are a genuine City fan, you are a victim of the media cliches against City.
