I’m gonna leave you with your insinuation that I’m a rag and not from Manchester.

I’d normally bite and chuck my toys out of my pram but I’ve been on BM long enough to ignore such insults, and my mother brought me up to have respect for my elders.

I used to fly out of Manchester Airport 4/5 times per year around Europe when I had a job in pharmaceuticals.

Perhaps a bit of respect for the 22 killed in the Ringway air crash. My dad was involved in the aftermath so Ringway sticks firmly in my memory.
We're in the wrong thread so l will get out by saying l never thought l would be involved with a City fan who was so dogmatic about calling the airport by its local name.

As a kid it was still ringway, I think up to 75 or 76 and it was called ringway locally right into the late 80s when Manchester airport started to stick as the name (I still have to correct myself when talking about it and using the old name

Not quite true, it was officially renamed in 1975 and then again in 1986.

Ringway Airport > Manchester International Airport > Manchester Airport

Edit: It will still get referred to as Ringway by some, even now.

Not a fraud and his football has been brilliant and given us fantastic memories but the style now is boring one dimensional and predictive... thanks for the happy marriage Pep but it’s sadly time for a divorce and take that fkn useless count Bridesmaid Mahrez with you
 
I’m going to be patient as I do believe he can get us playing well again, but his tactics and certain favourites aren’t making any sense at the minute. This set of players should be scoring goals. Build up play is ok, the ball gets to the wide players and they cut it back. Peps wingers are meant to run at full backs in the final third, it doesn’t happen anymore.
 
This season is a write off in terms of winning the league but still a chance for either Domestic Cups or slim one for the Champions League
 
Yayyyyy, 2 and a half more years of this. Just reinvent something. This is where being inspired by Cruyff has the weakness of it not being Cruyff and Johan no longer being here to provide the answer.

The game has moved on from the philosophy of playing football against 90s and 00s tactics and fitness. It's a game of doping, marginal gains and clinicalness and the blueprint has to evolve. We've gone back 10 years when we updated the blueprint in 17/18 that the Dippers adapted into gegenpress. The difference is the off the pitch gains and teams getting sick of being thumped by us just means they refuse to play ball, so we have to come up with something different or this will never work again.
