Pep's contract situation

He chose plan B when there was fuck all wrong with plan A.

It was a total fuck up.
You think, we’ll never know if plan A would have worked against a deep back 7, presuming you mean Fernandinho for Sterling.Might have might not., because none of Bernardo, KDB ,Foden looked liked finding gaps in their defence, would Gundogan with Fernandinho behind him , we’ll never know but it’s not a given.
Point is Pep obviously thought it was going to work, imo it was a reasonable assumption, in yours obviously not, neither you nor me will ever have to prove our theories though.

In the weeks leading up to this game, the narrative was Chelsea had beaten us twice when we put out seriously under strength sides. Now we'd show them what we were capable of. Most fans felt that while it would be close we had enough to get the job done.
One change, had 2 of our best players playing in roles they've not played recently. Also a seriously out of form player was reintroduced.
The substitutions were fairly chaotic too.

Thing is with Pep he will be mulling the final over in the summer break and will come up with a new system such is his innovative mind. He will see that we've been sussed out and create something new for us, hopefully with a top centre forward.
The team that were bloody well magnificent against PSG were never sussed by anybody. The team that got sussed contained our top scorer playing in the defensive midfield role that he'd played once in the previous year, with a winger on the left who hadn't been picked in Europe for ages for a very good reason, as the young player in exceptional form on the left in our previous European games was moved into the middle. whilst our in-form captain, leader, main defensive protector and tempo-setter was left on the bench,

Unfortunately, for us, rather than mulling things over in the summer, Pep decided to mull things over in the week leading up to a Final to be so innovative that he took the players away from what they know and put huge doubts in their minds by needlessly changing the winning formula that they and we all trusted in.

The daft thing is if he thought the system we had been playing was susceptible against Chelsea (I don’t we played different personal) he could have gone with 3 at the back(stones Dias Laporte) Dinho in front and still got 6 attacking players in the team. A system we have played previously and with excellent results.

No way they get that goal if he had.

aye just like Monaco, Liverpool, lyon and spurs

This type of stuff is lost on the heads must roll brigade. They think football is simple and Pep for all his brilliance isn’t aware of what changing a team does.

What was quite sad this morning is hilarious this evening. Didn’t réalisé there were so many who don’t like Pep. Mind blowing stuff.
Very interesting thread and from high up in the stand the full back issue was clear to see.

However I’m also of the opinion that we’re a far superior team to Chelsea and would rather have played our “strongest” team and let them worry about us, not the other way round.

All I'm now seeing is a really pissed off Pep, he's gone to spend some time with his family, then back to the club, but I loved the "City are going to be the best team in the world for years to come" quote, that tells me he's really pissed with how it went.
Nice to see he's shifting some dead wood on too and trying to bring someone in who can actually convert some of the chances we create, it pisses me off when we have 25 chances and convert 0, then the opposing team gets 1 chance all game and bloody scores, typical City.
