Pep's contract situation

Odds pretty small he will renew , we would have had him locked in by now I suspect if he was.
I don't know why he would lie though. He said he wants to extend but he wants to earn it, now if we win a few trophies (including PL or UCL), wouldn't it be weird for him to leave?

I genuinely feel he'll take his decision by December and our position in the league and Messi's decisions will be major factors.

If Lionel Messi makes a decision, about whether he stays at Barcelona or not. We will not hear about it until at the earliest January next year. That is when the next transfer window is open. I still think he will stay at Barcelona. If Lionel Messi decides to leave Barcelona and come to Manchester City, that could well pave the way for Pep to decide to stay and sign a new contract. If not then I think he will leave.

All this "Pep's Centurions!" etc is disappointing because it was so long ago. Last season, we had the disaster of Liverpool winning the title and only lifting the league cup ourselves. This season has seen Leicester put five past us at home.

I guarantee the man who hurts most out of all is Pep himself. Just one minor pot this season may not be enough. It's a decline. I want the Champions League. I want to see my club win the top prize. Is that wrong?

uefa and the champs league can fuck right off

Pep is the best manager we've ever had.
And one of the best ever.
Ok last season wasn't the best but remember the football we played to get 100 points its the best I've seen..and let's remember who we are let's not turn into rags and think we have a right to win trophies.
No one does.
Remember how amazing the last few years have been.
And if it goes a bit tats up so fucking what.
I've seen more than I ever dreamt of.
I hope pep stays for years and years.
As long as he's here we will finish above the rags.
And that's enough for me

More like, a bollock story.

Bored during the internationals, a loose cover all bases comment from omar at the club, and there is a 2 to look for a other 2 to put together and get 9.

I really have no issues with last season.

Yes, would have liked more, but certainly could have ended up with more, it was an odd one with so much going on off the pitch. I saw desire there, the quality will come back to the foreground again.

This season will have challenges too, bo doubt about it.

It is so easy to just focus on 'the expectations', and if they are met. But a bit of appreciation of the context, is quite important.

I still think Poch is by some distance the most likely candidate to replace Pep if he were to not renew next season. In many respects I completely get it. Nagelsman, Rose, Ten Haag et al are different shades of unproven. Poch has done it in the PL consistently.

Lots of people focus on the whole 'what's he won' argument, but that's not hugely interesting for me. Poch is as demanding and exacting at Guardiola is. I'd have no worries if he stepped in because I believe we'd continue at the level we've been at over the last few years.

I've noted a couple of nostalgic references in Pep's recent interviews so it's obviously in mind, however, I'm pretty sure he, genuinely, hasn't decided yet and we'll definitely have a sound contingency plan. That said, I'm even more sure there's many hoping and praying he doesn't extend his contract with us again. SNAKES!
