Pep's contract situation

Never take much notice what Pep says publicly, he is very diplomatic and says the things people want to hear.

I would expect we'll know before the new year if he is staying or not, if he is staying, I would have thought an extension would have already been announced, if only to stop the speculation and particularly for the benefit of the dressing room.

Personally I think his time is nearly up, but if that is so, our future is still as bright as ever. Still a very good squad of players just in need a small refresh and some exciting young players in the academy waiting for their chance.

As previous posters have stated, our last 3 managers have won the title and I am sure the next manager will do likewise.

personal think covid will play big part not just pep but whole host of players and employees, if financially stable why wouldnt you want to go home to be with family

I disagree, unless he loses his intense love for the game with age, I think he would revel in it again. Watch how he sometimes rushes on to the pitch after games to make coaching points to the young players eg. after the Marseilles game or remember him coaching Nathan Redmond after a Southampton game . There is great personal reward for a natural coach in seeing young players improve with that coach's help, like a teacher with the dedication of a life long vocation.
He only does that if city win and he rubbing it in. The Redmond thing would not have happened if we did not get the winner, and it was massively disrespectful to the other manager after a close game.

He will not do something that is low profile that is for sure.

I wouldn’t blame him going at the end of the season.

Who’d want to stay in this clown show of a country.
