Pep's Press Conferences - Watford (A) Post Match (Page 129)

Wow, Pep looks well fucked off! It seems he has become a firm believer in the "City Agenda" and he has a point re: Fernandinho, we've seen Rojos, 2 footed challenge go unpunished twice, now Fernandinho's red means another 4 match ban, for someone who isn't a dirty, or malicious player.
The Honeymoon period seems to have worn off, "Pep you promised us a football revolution, not a gritty balls to the wall 10 man performance" cry the media, as if they've been deceived by their own hyperbole at the start of the season.
Also heard he and Txiki had strong words after the game too, hope it was Pep demanding some action in the transfer window!
The last bit sounds interesting wonder what that was all about, maybe he heard txiki was giving extended contracts out to some of the older players ..

I asked the rhetorical question in the match-day thread as Silva was being destroyed yet again by an opposition thug, an assault blatantly ignored by the officials and simultaneously chortled about as being "robust" by the back-slapping BBC slime.

The question was simply when do we, as a Club, say enough-is-enough?

Hopefully the Pep reaction signals a turning-point.

Burnley (H) Post Match:

More journalists trying to bait Pep into commenting on the referee and then accusing him of being out of order (on social media) when he shuts them down. I think we need to build up this mentality of them against us, hopefully it spurs us on.

Even mentions that there are special rules in England which aren't applied around the world which I enjoyed.

He's also pleading with us fans to do more, which I mentioned in the atmosphere thread that we need to do more.

Not surprisingly the only positive question came from the Spanish (?) journalist.

Some bellend wrote an anti-Pep article for City Watch, rushing to join the media lynching, claiming he sounded like a spoiled brat.

Other than him, a few flappers, couple of WUMs and an undercover rag or two, it's obvious the supporters are behind Pep on this 100 percent.

Yep he was clever didn't go too far but made it very clear he's going to call the referees out from now on. It's what was needed this. Hopefully it creates a siege mentality.

I thought he was impressive all round today. Made the changes at half time that won us the game.

Kept his cool with the corrupt British press yet still got his point across that he knows the game in England is a bent as anywhere in the world.

For all the frustration I suffer after a poor result or performance it makes my blood boil to see and hear the way the British football establishment (FA/ press / other clubs) are just dying to see him fail so they can say "told you so. The English game is too special for him" . The Same English game that isn't too special for such visionaries as Allardyce, Warnock, Bruce, Pulis, Redknapp.

Forget this season, I'll take a top four if need be, just to make it all the sweeter when we clean up next year.

I do wish the club would stand up to these bastards though. We shouldn't be leaving it to our manager to do so on his own.

Today was one of his best since he arrived for me.
