Pep's Press Conferences - Watford (A) Post Match (Page 129)

Some bellend wrote an anti-Pep article for City Watch, rushing to join the media lynching, claiming he sounded like a spoiled brat.

Other than him, a few flappers, couple of WUMs and an undercover rag or two, it's obvious the supporters are behind Pep on this 100 percent.

Isn't CityWatch basically LoveCity?

It's as clear as day that there's a pro "big four" agenda this year - awful refereeing but the majority of the errors benefiting the so called big four. United have escaped 4 or 5 red cards and have huge help in terms of offsides etc. Probably worth at least a dozen points to them. The PL want a return to the "old order" to help with their global ambitions - see Scudamours comments for confirmation. Mike Riley and his merry band have already had a huge impact on the league position of certain clubs this season and they ain't done yet. Expect things to get an awful lot worse before they get better. Pep chose the wrong club - if he was at Arsenal or the Rags he'd be the messiah but having chosen the 'dirty Arab club' he'll be persecuted and punished by a footballing establishment who despise his modern thinking and his contempt for good old corrupt English football. Pep said "buckle up" and it's gonna be one hell of a ride if he chooses to take on the footballing establishment in England - which as the recent Alladyce case proved is rotten to the core.

I don't see why our media think he has to suck up to them, maybe stop baiting him with biased questions or asking the same bloody question every week and you'll naturally see a better side to him. They should know their place anyway, he can ban anyone who steps out of line from future conferences if he wishes to do so.

This seemed to annoy him the most: "Do you think your players(Aguero and Dinho) have a discipline problem given the red cards... do you need to have a word with them you think?" Or something along those lines and I can see why.

The reds we have received bar the Chelsea game which I put down to being incensed by shit refereeing have been more a case of: "It was harsh but he gave the ref a decision to make" ie they could and probably would have got away with a yellow had they been playing for another team. Aguero's first 3 game ban of the season was harsh since his elbow didn't make contact with the player at all and Ibra got a far more favourable outcome when his was worse. Also they seemed to count that joke of a red card in the champions league for Dinho which maybe shows it's just an attempt to unsettle the team. Maybe make us even weaker and more indecisive in midfield for fear of getting a red card? Either way neither Aguero or Dinho are dirty players, they are both well natured but capable of making mistakes although no more than any other players you care to mention.

Fuck em, the club allow them to come to the ground, get fed all the works and then once they leave they write shit about us all the time.

Siege mentality, what was really going through his head

I thought he was impressive all round today. Made the changes at half time that won us the game.

Kept his cool with the corrupt British press yet still got his point across that he knows the game in England is a bent as anywhere in the world.

For all the frustration I suffer after a poor result or performance it makes my blood boil to see and hear the way the British football establishment (FA/ press / other clubs) are just dying to see him fail so they can say "told you so. The English game is too special for him" . The Same English game that isn't too special for such visionaries as Allardyce, Warnock, Bruce, Pulis, Redknapp.

Forget this season, I'll take a top four if need be, just to make it all the sweeter when we clean up next year.

I do wish the club would stand up to these bastards though. We shouldn't be leaving it to our manager to do so on his own.

Today was one of his best since he arrived for me.

Nice post
