Peps Targets

Pretty clear that Pep and Yaya arent best pals after the Barca spell. Just passing hasnt EVER been the only thing he requires from his players. He wants running, pressing, positioning all to 100% and Yaya cannot do any of them. He will be sold as many sources state.
when Toure left Barca, he was in his prime and decided he needed game time and not a backup role. That's why Toure left. True Guardiola preferred Busquet. A great player in his own right. But you need a squad and not just the starting 11. Pep also gets that. The issue was Toure wasn't interested in being a squad player for one of the best teams. He'd rather be a starter on a rising team.

So when City came calling with a great offer, great salary, and a chance to play with his brother, it was a no-brainer. He took it. Better monetery decision and better footballing decision.

Pep wanted him to stay, but couldn't offer anything as good as City had.

The situation is quite different now. I don't know if Yaya would stay, but if he doesn't, it wouldn't be because he and Pep don't like each other. They buried that hatchet over 4 years ago

Yaya is a goner, maybe not because of a bad relationship with Pep but definitely because he isn't good enough anymore.

Sad to see just how drastically he's lost his legs. Still has that innate ability but not the legs for the premier league anymore.

Technically £18mil and probably still what he is worth, seeing as he is in his 3rd season at the club and he still starts from the bench just as often as he starts. Decent signing but wouldnt call it amazing.

Are you sure about that? Check his injury record at Bayern and then check his appearances in CL. He's obviously being rested in the league to be fit for the important games, in which he always starts. This season for example he played the full 90 minutes in all CL games, except the one he missed due to a 4 week injury.
Injuries are what might give this transfer a little bitter taste but him starting from the bench a lot has nothing to do with his quality and integration to the team.

Looks like Gundogan and Laporte are legit deal that could happen. All the sources that report and talk on it are legit
