I know. But I'd rather get a total stud at a position of minor need, than an ok player, at a position of great need. It's my outside the box belief on these issues. We need a left back more than a centre back Dax?

Bernat is a good LB, I think Larpote is potentially a great CB. So if a choice of only one of the 2, I take the potential WC guy, and wait on the LB. Until a potential great vone emerges.
Don't get me wrong I am a Bernat fan, in spite of Baston80's opinion that he is average. I think he will be good for City, but Laporte has the potential to be WC and by the way, he can play LB competently too.
Gundogan
Pogba
Laporte
Those are my 3 priority if I was our front office. All 3 are close to WC or already there. Once you settle those 3, you can look for good players to add to the squad like Bernat, Xhaka, Dane, Jesus E.t.c
The goal is to target the next core:
In 2 seasona you want Aguero, Sterling, DeBryune, Gundogan, Pogba, Laporte as your spine.
But that's just my thinking.
Unfortunately Kun is the player that would start week in and week out unless he's not fit or being rested. I couldn't think of a good forward that would be content just sitting on the bench most days. We'd be better off trying to find a utility player that could be played in multiple position (which includes center forward). Griezmann and Reus comes to mind.we need to buy a centre forward to help sergio....
Nacho is a good player (and will get better) but we cant just have these two and we need to get rid of Bony as he just doesn't fit in

Sterling and Kelechi do fit that requirement, but I was responding to the poster that mentioned we need a center forward and I said rather than getting a center forward - a utility player might be better. But yeah Sterling and Kelechi do fit that.Does Raheem not fit that requirement? Or even nacho?

Yet I think only 4 of those are realisticPeps team of targets
Nauer
Stones Laporte Alaba
Sane Pogba Gundogan Busquets Sandro
Suarez Aguero
:)
Certainly possible but there was word out that Pep isn't a fan of Isco's antics off the court.Hart
Denayer
Vinny
Otamendi
Bernat
Gundogan
Pogba
De Bruyne
Isco
Sterling
Aguero
Possible?
Anyone else who got funny in the pants after seeing Pep talking to Kimmich after the Dortmund game? After the lad pockets Reus he still thrives for perfection. Next season cannot come fast enough
