we did play well to a point, playing the ball around the back 4 and the defensive midfielders and probably because they allowed us to.

what they do is break with pace and precision, when we can get that into our game with consistancy we will have a chance to compete.

this was not their strongest starting 11 today, i would keep robinho and given, (wow remember all them on here crying to keep hart in) the rest i would replace, whilst some of them are fairly good players, they are not quality players and yes i m aware it cant be done overnight thanks

I have to say that's complete rubbish. The difference between the teams today was the front men. Many posters on here have called Hughes for us playing a long ball game (which I don't agree with). So now you are calling him because we passed the ball about today.

Good teams keep the ball, so they don't have to play blood and thunder football. If we had Eto'o and Ribery, instead of Caicedo and Elano/Ireland we would have won today. Its that cutting edge that we lack!
