Pete The Badge Q&A

There is a lot I don't like about the modern game too. Also the constant sniping and lies by the media and all and sundry trying to stitch us up. I'm damned if I am walking away now though after all the barren years this is deamland. Every trophy we win is another kick in the teeth to the bastards.

I’ll never walk away completely bud, still love City, always will, and like everybody else (who isn’t called Conn) I’ll savour every moment ;-).

I’ve never been the same since those three defeats to Liverpool and United in one week. I might look at it again once I’ve sorted a home outside of the south east but I’ve zero motivation to waste entire weekends attending 90 minutes of football. Life’s more important.

Love this guy, seen him a few times but never spoken, weirdly, I have this really protective thing going on with him, maybe it's just me.

I too always imagine he sounds like George Formby.

I know what you mean, few aways I’ve seen a few home supporters laughing and shouting stuff, I’ll always keep my eye out

Pete always used to take in a bottle of Scotch to games amd swig from it. Remember a night match at Highbury in the early 90's (2-2 draw from 2 down) and stood next to him at the front. Steward came along and tried to take it off him. No chance. Pete just agreed to put it away and not bring it back out. He realised it was the last time he could bring a bottle to a game.

Used to travel with him on the special in the mid 80's too. Nothing official just used to end up sitting in the same carriage most of the time and chatting

I remember Pete on the Football specials in the mid 70s to early 80s, never spoke to him, but have plenty of respect, top man.
