As I’m getting older, I’m trying to now ignore things that used to really bother me. For instance: clueless Twitter trolls, the media bias against us, and just general d1cks heads in the local who clearly don’t know their football.
However when it comes to Martin Tyler, I’m really struggling.
He clearly doesn’t like us. Now I’m not saying he is biased and supports Utd bla bla bla but his standard of commentating on us is massively different to when he’s doing other teams games.
I record most of our games as I like to watch then back through the week, and every time he's doing our games you can really notice the lack of enthusiasm he brings as to when his other favourite teams play.
Now I’m told he supports Woking. No reason for him to have any dislike towards us, so, as I said I’m not gona say he’s biased. But when Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea play, his enthusiasm is on another level. When they score hes happy as Larry and really celebrates.
I first noticed his attitude towards us when we played Everton away under Pellers and we won 2-3 in the title run in. He couldn’t have wanted Liverpool to win the league anymore that year. When Aguero equalised and Dzeko scored you could tell he wasn’t best pleased. It was shocking how little he made of the goals. Its his job to get excited at goals. He hardly raised his voice, yet, when Barkley scored earlier he nearly explodes.
It’s almost like Sky have created him and he loves the old top 4 days and those teams. Madness really how he can’t raise his game to a professional level and not bum the old top 4 teams.
I think he’s noticed as a few people on twitter are now starting to tweet their displeasure to Sky and also this forum topic highlights I’m not the only person who thinks this.
Anyway, to end my rant. P1ss off Tyler. Hurry up and retire.
