Peter Drury replaces Martin Tyler on Sky Sports

Tyler and his cohorts are a disgrace to their profession. I genuinely mean that.

Years ago he (Tyler) was a little more subtle with his hero-worship of all things rag, the odd phrase or expression here and there, but nothing too obvious. But from what I've heard in the last maybe ten years or so he's made absolutely no effort to disguise where his allegiances are. To me, he's a fervent rag supporter. A real die-hard fan who has been fortunate enough to get to a position in his life where he is paid a lot of money to watch his idols week in week out.

He's also a senile old bastard who should have his contract severed immediately.

How many Liverpool supporters can the media employ, Carragher, Souness and Redknapp on Sky, Owen on BT, Lawro and Craig Hignett on the BBC, Murphy on MOTD - and that was just this weekend.

Pointer was/is on BT too

If anyone is in any doubt about his disdain and hatred for us, have a listen what happens when we're attacking. He'll be waffling on with statistics or talking about a recent match. Someone like Laporte will play an inch perfect 50 yard crossfield pass to put one of our attackers in a great position. Only when the shot on goal happens does he realise that he has no choice but to mention what's going on. Even then, if we score, it's met with a second of silence then an unenthusiastic statement of fact.(apart from the Aguero goal which would have got a Trappist monk to break a vow of silence)

Exactly - contrast that to the name checks and the eulogizing over an inch perfect 3 yard passes from the dippers and especially the rags. He's maybe more an old school sky fan rather than a full blown rag. Hankering after the days of boardroom cigars and a glass of red with slur aleksh or in the boot room with ronnie and roy.

I'll never forget the dirty Rag bastards reaction to Edin Dzeko scoring inside a minute at Old Toilet we we beat them 3-0 in 2014. 'They've scored' in a low understated tone with a Shit! This is gonna be a long night type of feeling to it. Him and Neville would have needed water thrown on them had it been the other way around.

A real company man who fits Sky and all their bias like a rat suits a sewer. Horrible tw*t!

What's generally funny is that most of these commentators and pundits lose their veils of objectivity as soon as it's their own team.

For example Souness is normally alright, but when it's Liverpool concerned he just becomes crazy. Same with Neville and United. Or the rest of the Liverpool/United bunch for that matter (except some of them are never alright, just worse with their own team).
