my non smoking pal who got banned for smoking didn't get any help from Fletcher, it took him missing around 8 games and finally a letter from his GP to convince the arrogant **** that he didn't smoke. My pal got a letter stating something like 'we have lifted your ban but we don't accept the letter as proof or the reason we are lifting the ban' personally I would have taken it further. It was quite obvious to him that he'd fucked up and him burying his head in the sand had achieved nothing but extended my pal's ban. Fletcher knew some people were being thrown out for nothing but he chose to ignore everyone, even if it took him two weeks to reply he still should have done as it was his job. As for showsec, they're a bunch of shithouses who pick on individuals whilst mob handed and backed by the Police.

I have to say in my dealings with him I found him an absolute c**t.

I was banned for for what amounted to 6 games, for an incident that happened outside of the ground that led to no charges being pressed by GMP.

If the man wants to hold kangaroo court, at least have the common decency to speak with or meet the people you are dealing with, rather than childishly hiding behind written correspondence only.

I also wish him an absolute misery of a retirement.

Can you give a little more detail regarding the incident? 6 games seems a long ban.
What did he think you had done?


I know the Police contact City when you have been arrested to inform the club and fletcher was banning ppl in this alone

arrested but not charged for swearing outside the ground.
This didn't stop Peter Fletcher who automatically banned me, then proceeded to question me via Royal Mail about the circumstances, before deciding that a 3 game ban was sufficient. I'd already missed 3 games (card blocked) while he conducted his enquiries via royal mail. I offered to meet him or to speak to him directly but he flatly refused.

Absolutely disgraceful. Good riddance to the twat

I wish him a long and happy retirement, he was very helpful to me on two occasions and I cannot speak highly enough of him. I speak as I find as my old Gran used to say.

Glad he's gone as others say, tends to hide behind the pen and paper. We are located in block 109 and he tried to ban me and my 6 year old son for him standing on his seat so he could see. Took many letters and emails to get the ban overturned, we threatened to take it further and finally had the ban overturned
