Petrov to leave?

Lets b honest, they`re both lazy buggers, that make bridge look shit !

At least Robinho scored 14 goals last season and that was when he took a brazilian xmas (didn`t do FA in december to
march) a la elano the year b4 !

As for petrov I can only remember game where he was really outstanding against blackburn, a couple of years ago,
if he played like that everyweek, he would play ! A good goal last week but I didn`t c any of these crosses, everyone keeps
talking about ?

I think you make a lot of good points there mate, they are both lazy and if you're going to pick one over the other then it's Robinho every time. I like Petrov and when he's racing down the byline on the counter it's great to watch. But, his crossing isn't the best, what he does is play the percentages, he whips in low, fast crosses that could go anywhere and are dangerous for defences to play against. The key things is they can go anywhere, some are awful, some are great. The bad points with Petrov are that he doesn't track back, ducks out of tackles and is painfully one sided. To have his pace, and power (shooting wise) coming off the bench is an asset but its not a major set back if he does leave, providing we do get another left sided player in.

Granted it was only a snapshot of things but against Celtic on Saturday when the final whistle went he was expecting a return ball off Adebayor which could have sent him down the line, The final whistle went, he shouted at Adebayor, spat his dummy out and walked straight down the tunnel. ( I know this as I was sat on row 3 of Colin bell with the kids).

IMO he is not as good as we need, he has suffered a serious injury (the 2nd in just over 2 years as he had one before he joined us), has lost a little pace and doesnt backtrack (even Robinho is doign more of that !).

I would be happy to keep him as a squad player but have the feeling he wont be happy with that so if we can get a replacement then I would look at that

Great player will be sad to see him go, but no time for sentiment he can be replaced. Can't see him and Robbie starting together and in world cup year especialy, he will want starts.

I should have also said IMO Garrido could operate at left wing back position so don't need to replace immediately.

We are mad if we let this guy go, he shown more potential on the left wing pre season than robinho shown all last year. Take the Celtic game, time and time again Robbi muscled out of it, it was like deja vu last season. Petrov is an orthodox left winger, gives the left side balance, i will start questioning Hughes football foresight if this happens.

oh fuck....the hughes out brigade have woke up........................

I still think we'll go for the left winger at fc Twente Ellia.

Class player if it's the guy i'm thinking of....

The guy that completely tore down our defence last year ?

I'll rage if Petrov leaves.

Unless we get a top quality winger in to replace him, but I'd still rather he stayed.
