Petrov to spurs

If we're going to let him go, it shouldn't be to Spurs. They're our rivals.

Petrov has bombed down any wing since he signed for City. Maybe a leisurely stroll.

Garrido offers just as much on the left hand side of midfield

Petrov is superior to Garrido who is very slow.

If we get Darijo Srna, we get a player who can bomb down the wing at the right (can also play left) and gives fantastic crosses and give Robinho and Tevez the chance to drift inwards. Srna gives us what we need at right back, as I think Zab and Richards are simply way too limited in their offensive play to be effective for us when we play Tevez on the right who isn't really a crosser. Tevez should be allowed to drift inwards and a great offensive force like Srna on the right gives Tevez that opportunity.

Petrov is finished - he looks like an aids victim since he came back from injury - he's also lost a yard of pace.

I don't think there's much difference in speed between Petrov and Garrido

We could play Tevez on the right of a front 3 with a good attacking right back. Richards and Zabaleta are both OK going forwards. I think SWP could also play that role on occasion

£5M may be good money for a 30 year old but we don't exactly need it do we? We need a strong and diverse squad much more than we need Dodgy Harrys cash and Petrov and SWP will give us a Plan B from the expected 4-3-3. Think about it.... 1 nil down, 20 to go and we change personel, change formation to 4-4-2 with Petrov ans SWP bombing onto Adeybayor and Santa Cruz.... a big squad gives us options and Vlad isn't quite there... YET

i cant see him getting much game time next season to be honest and i DONT want him to go either.

but if he does want to go then only sell him abroad.

2 seasons ago Petrov destroyed a Premiership team virtually single-handed and only a disputed late goal got them a point. That team was Blackburn Rovers and their manager was Mark Hughes. I don't think Hughes will have forgotten that and he knows that Petrov gives us an option on the left that no other player gives us, particularly now we've got some players to get on the end of his crosses.
