PFA Team of the Year

To be fair, Eriksen and Kane have both been excellent this season. Not sure if Vertonghen has done enough to merit inclusion though.

Both incredible players mate no doubt but the league is full of some incredible players.

As good as they are they have not managed to get Spurs over any lines as of yet unlike our lads who have a league and cup double in the bag and have broke record after record with more to come imo.

I understand why they are in and im probably only surprised they didn't manage to shoe horn Ali in as well.

Ferny and Raz walk into that TOTY imo.

For comparison to the other "greatest" teams that we've been compared to this season.

Chelsea 04/05 - 4 (Cech, Terry, Lampard, Robben)
Arsenal 03/04 - 6 (Campbell, Cole, Lauren, Pires, Henry, Vieira)
United 99/00 - 4 (Stam, Beckham, Keane, Cole)

fair. Alonso is a bit dubious but I couldn't see Delph getting in there, surprised it wasn't the knee breaker.

Sterling and Sane were never going to get in over Kane and Salah, and Eriksen or Hazard were going to get in too.

What it should be...

Ederson
Walker
Otamendi
Tarkowski/Mee
Davies
Dinho
Silva
Dr Bruyne
Salah
Kane
Sterling

If you really want to pick a plucky underdog at CB then it should be Lascelles. Newcastle have conceded just 24 goals in the 26 games he's played. 17 in 6 without him, and that defence is why Benitez has managed to keep a really shite side up and midtable despite none of the promised investment.
