could just handle his sangria for all we know. But did he come back worse for wear? He went to honour one of our ex-players not for a jolly or a drinking session.

That’s why he was on the bench, too, and didn’t give himself a game, either!Pep went to fucking Spain.
Glad it wasn’t Chelsea, or Liverpool we were playing…or that we lost!Storm in a teacup, both in today’s training video
I would not say fan reaction is over the top but outrage that they are endangering and risking the rest of the squad by their actions. It’s a privilege the job and stage they are at. They make in a week the average fan will not make in 5/10 years or more in some cases. Key to a successful career is to be grounded and humble. Just look at the waste that players like Gazza, David James, Merson, Gary Charles, Tony Adams to name but a few find themselves with their vices.Genuinely thought from the chat about it that they must've done a few lines of charlie, three jagerbombs each, got kicked out of 42s for starting a fight and then stumbled home at 4AM to drunkenly piss in the walk-in closet before passing out until sunset.
Looks like they just had a few too many drinks, stayed out a bit too late and were a bit hungover in the morning. Can see why Pep has to say "look, we can't be having that" but the reaction on the fan side has been over the top IMO.
hahahahIs that the dominatrix?
You don't try it on with Pep, plus he has taken on bigger egos than Jack before with them going before he has.Pep flew out to Sergio's retirement do and Phil and Jack thought they would take advantage and head out on the town, which wouldn't have been too bad apart from acting like amateurs at training the next day and being too thick to realise that Pep would know nothing about it.
Tbh, I'm stil struggling to understand why we paid £100m for a knob like Grealish, I always thought he was overrated as he played for such a shit team that anyone even a quarter decent would have stood out and it's not as if he hasn't got form for speeding, attending lockdown parties and doing a runner after crashing his range rover (and alledgedly slurring his words when doing so).

Jack Grealish: Aston Villa captain banned from driving
The England and Aston Villa player has also been hit with an £80,000 fine.www.bbc.com
I'd keep Phil well away, he seems too easily led.
Like Greenwood had?Jack having a negative influence?
dodgy gut after the paella and patatas bravas. That’s why he was on the bench, too, and didn’t give himself a game, either!
smh
He also went there to visit his family I suspect, he probably goes every week without the media knowing for a day or so, but he attended Sergios farewell in front of the media, it's not a story really. But did he come back worse for wear? He went to honour one of our ex-players not for a jolly or a drinking session.
Leaked out? Pep more or less spelt it out.How are details about this getting leaked out anyway?
You'd think they'd want to keep this in house.
You're right. I just saw the story is from Ducker AND Pol Ballús, who's Pep's friend iirc.Leaked out? Pep more or less spelt it out.
We don’t really know what actually happened. They could have been better or worse than we fear they were.Surprised anyone’s defending them and/or playing it down.
These are two stars for the best team in the country, if not the continent - at a time where our rivals are suffering the kind of covid outbreaks we’ve been lucky enough to avoid.
Fucking stupid, the pair of them, on account of their own match recovery and putting the rest of the squad at risk.
Hopefully they learn and move on, but it’s Phil’s 2nd moronic transgression and Grealish’s umpteenth.
I hope this is the last of it from both, but I’m not confident.

Guess it depends on where they’ve gone and how crowded it was.you say putting the team at risk (covid). Surely that applies to most of the team and coaches though. Lots of them have been out at restaurants, markets and probably with groups of other people.
I think this is being overblown and people are desperate at times to be outraged. Should they have gone out, probably not, but is it really that bad? They have just had a few drinks or none at all?
Which should apply to foden and grealish. The place they visited probably was a private section of the bar/club, so there probably wasn’t many people with them. It’s all just speculation though. Like most of this threadGuess it depends on where they’ve gone and how crowded it was.
