Phil and Jack on the lash?

Its no good being great in training if afterwards you do something that affects your career. As I have already said - he’s been dropped by his National manager & his club manager already at his young age.
That’s not my conclusion- it’s a fact & surely you agree that it has affected his career? He could have had another England cap & further international experience but he was sent home in shame. It affected the club against Newcastle in that they both had to be benched for disciplinary reasons. This is not me drawing conclusions

Fact is they are doing things that have ALREADY affected their careers and reputations

you questioned fodens professionalism and said/ implied he didn’t work as much as others which I don’t agree with.

I wouldn’t say it’s effected his career (foden). I think that’s an exaggeration. He got dropped for two games. Overall he’s had an amazing career and will go on to he one of our best players. Grealish is being rinsed by the media no matter what

Silva, aguero and plenty others used to go out drinking. I regularly see city, Liverpool players in the bars in wilmslow and Alderley edge drinking ( didn’t measure how much)

You honestly think that the club weren't made aware of police interest in Mendy and his activities?

You're very naive.
Why is it so certain they have been made aware? If you were being investigated for a r*pe charge, why would you tell your employer, before you have even been charged? What could he possibly gain from that? Do you think the police calls the club and tell them weeks/months before they decide to charge him, despite the things he is being accused of are in no way related to his work? Or do you think the club are monitoring all ongoing police investigations all the time, in case one of our players might pop up in one of them?

Its of course possible the club somehow was made aware, but its in no way certain, and going by how the club has acted, they were not. Unless you suggest Pep has no problem with his players going around r*ping women, which of course is a ridiculous accusation based on absolutely no evidence. Considering he benched his players for going out having a few drinks, I very much doubt he would have no problem with this accusation if he knew about it.

But yes, we are the ones being naive..

On your first senior International call up for your country , you would think the last thing on your mind would be looking to shag some Instagram "model" and in your first major tournament dying your hair bright blonde is some serious attention seeking.

In my humble, it's a warning of possible attitude issues and I am glad we have a very strict and fair manager that will get to the bottom of it and quickly.

aguero used to regularly dye his hair. Was he an attention seeker? Nothing wrong with that at all. You sound very judgemental about people and their appearance

oh come on. How much clearer does Pep have to be. You turn a blind eye if it makes you happy but it c
It’s not turning a blind eye. They weren’t considered for selection as a result of their night out drinking.

You can’t tell me that they were going to start and if they hadn’t, the forum would have justified it by saying Foden still has that niggling ankle injury and Jack has played the last two games, so a bit of rotation round Xmas is probably sensible.

No one can guess a Pep team selection.

Especially in CL finals.

Where did I say that Foden doesn’t work hard. I have NEVER said that.
Read my posts. I haven’t said players shouldn’t go out.
What I have said is that Foden should not have done a bit more than just going out for a drink. What he did on England duty led to him being sent home in shame - and what he did this week led to his esteemed manager telling the world that his behaviour led to him not being selected

Both have affected his career - he has one fewer England cap & didn’t play against Newcastle. Most players would be disappointed but you think it’s ok

Guess we should agree to differ

It’s a theory.

He might have burned out earlier too.

There’s another theory.
Just listened to talksport, going on about Grealish, then justifying what he did by mentioning Gazza, Best etc, WTF

We are incredibly lucky to have a strong man in charge of this club, who will take no sh1t from any player, whatever their ability, reputation or standing.

We are truly blessed to have Pep, and anyone on here taking the side of the players involved is incredible in my opinion.
