He has put on the weight he lost and more, it was the fattest I have ever seen him. He looked to be really struggling to keep up with play at times.

I'm no fan of Dowd generally, but he was alright tonight. Blaming him for Silva's injury is fucking ridiculous.

No one was really to blame for it Ric, I think it was a foul that Dowd didn't see but the flaming linesman must have seen it he was keeping up with play. How he ever got to be a linesman is a mystery because he didn't seem to understand or even notice what was going on around him half the time!! No idea of the offside rule!


By the way did anyone else see the 4th official give something to one of our players in the first half, think it was Nasri but with everything else that happened later can't remember, to take over to Dowd who seemed to put part of it in his mouth and then the rest into his top pocket? The people on my row thought it was a tablet of some description.

Looked like one of those fat blaster pills to me ;-)

It's the blatant inconsistencies that annoy me though.

Garcia got booked for what looked like a clumsy tackle in the first half yet one of their players didn't get carded for a shirt pull on Nasri when he got away from him. Then Mulumbu (I think) hauled someone down by their neck and didn't get a yellow.
