A lot of talk about him being offered to Leeds on loan, don't know whether it is better for him to stay here and learn under Pep's tutelage or gain valuable game time in the rough and tumble of the Championship all be it under Bielsa's tutelage?

That would actually be a good move for him I think but we would need assurance that he would play regularly - I think some clubs have been inserting clauses in loan contracts where the club has to pay over cash if the loanee isn't getting enough game time. We should be looking at things like that as well as ensuring we have the option to recall him in the January window if things aren't working out.

If he goes out on loan what message does that send to our Youth really?

Not a bad one. Plenty of players (even expensive purchases) are sent on loan from top clubs to gain first team experience that they simply wouldn't get there.

The key is to assess and integrate players returning back from loan spells properly. City have been utterly shite on this front with Denayer, Roberts and arguably Maffeo and Angelino (though their contract situations made things difficult).

And that's exactly why I would be concerned. None of the players that go out on loan seem to ever come back and become part of the first Team. Foden would look it this and think the same probably?

There is no good reason Foden (& Diaz for that matter) shouldn't be brought through as City first team players next season.

They are both reaching thr strength level required & both have the talent required. If Pep is the coach we all believe him to be, then he has the raw material to work with & should not shirk that aspect of his job. And that would give both a chance of playing regularly, on merit.

If it pisses off a big signing, that a kid gets more minutes when he wants to play,, sell him.
