Agreed - putting an established player like Sterling on right at the end wouldn't have achieved anything (better to give him a complete day off). Much better to give Foden the 10-15 minutes to get further acclimatized to the Prem and show what he can do.

Definitely deserves it and doesn't look out of place at all. I worry he could pick up an injury against the more physical teams, just because he's still growing and is a bit on the skinny side, but he needs the time. He's got a bright future.

this is exactly what he needs - more game time. he needs to be coming off the bench or even trusted to start at times. game time is the only way he will develop into a top player. its so good to see a local lad in the team again ( stockport ;). its exactly what our club has been missing

Should be starting the league cup and FA cup matches, has a chance to play a big role in possibly winning these trophies. What an experience that would be.
