Easy said:
Foden is being handled correctly. The truth is had Foden started ahead of Gundogan for example, it would not be on merit. This could destabilize the squad.

I believe Foden will start Tuesday and will start many more games and eventually prove himself this season. Once he does so he will show enough to take Gundogan’s place imo.

what on earth ? how would playing foden destabilize the squad ?? if that was the case then we have one of the most unprofessional squads in england. he would get into the team on merit because he is good enough. hes a first team squad player.

I said right now it would have. There is a pecking order. Just like starting for example Brahim today over Mahrez let’s say could possibly destabilize. Had Brahim came off the bench, played very well and scored, there would be little arguements to starting him the following game. Same with Foden starting him out of the blue would raise questions.

He needs to earn a start and I believe he will soon.
 
Wonderful cameo today, should of scored as well.

A breakout season for him this year imo.
 
I assume he'll start vs. Oxford. Brighton next weekend could be another opportunity to get a 20-30 minute appearance like today's.
 
Perfect game for him to come in to today. Cardiff were beaten and we were purring. Will build his confidence nicely.
